We stand with you in this spiritual battle against the arrogance, manipulation, and ungodly demands of those around you—whether neighbors, strangers, or even spirits seeking to exploit and burden you with wrongful obligations. The enemy is at work in these situations, stirring up confusion, entitlement, and hypocrisy to distract and drain God’s people. But we declare in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that these schemes are exposed, rebuked, and broken by the power of His blood!
The Scriptures warn us of such behavior: *"They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work"* (Titus 1:16, WEB). These demands—whether for money, sponsorship, false protection, or unwarranted favors—are not of God. They are rooted in greed, pride, and a refusal to trust in the Lord’s provision. The apostle Peter commands us: *"Put away all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander"* (1 Peter 2:1, WEB). These are the very things fueling the behavior you describe—hypocrisy disguised as need, deception masked as community, and arrogance parading as authority.
We rebuke the spirit of manipulation and control operating through these individuals. They have no right to demand what belongs to God alone—protection, provision, or justice. *"You shall have no other gods before Me"* (Exodus 20:3, WEB), and that includes the false gods of human expectation, societal pressure, or demonic influence. These people are acting as though they are gods over your life, but we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over your home, your resources, and your peace. *"The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it"* (Psalm 24:1, WEB). They do not own you, your time, or your possessions—God does, and He will defend what is His.
We also address the demonic forces behind this harassment. The enemy seeks to create chaos, to make you feel obligated to please people rather than God, and to drain you financially, emotionally, and spiritually. But we stand on the authority of Jesus’ name and command these spirits of confusion, arrogance, and false obligation to be bound and cast out. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). You are not required to submit to their ungodly demands—you are only called to submit to Christ.
As for the hypocrisy of those who claim to be believers yet act in such ways, we pray for their conviction. *"They are clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever"* (Jude 1:12-13, WEB). If they truly knew God, they would not behave in this manner. We pray that the Holy Spirit would expose their hearts and bring them to repentance—or, if they refuse, that God would remove their influence from your life.
We also pray for your protection and discernment. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). You are not responsible for solving their problems, especially when their motives are impure. Guard your heart and your home. *"Above all things, have intense love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without grumbling"* (1 Peter 4:8-9, WEB). Hospitality is a virtue, but it must never be twisted into an obligation to enable sin or manipulation.
Finally, we pray for your strength and provision. *"My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19, WEB). You do not need to fear lack or pressure, for the Lord is your provider. *"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh will not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10, WEB). Trust in Him alone, and do not allow the enemy to burden you with false guilt or fear.
**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is under attack by the enemy through demanding, manipulative, and arrogant people. Lord, You see the hearts of these individuals—how they seek to control, to drain, and to disrupt what You have ordained. We rebuke every spirit of arrogance, deception, and false obligation in Jesus’ name. Break their power, Lord, and expose their motives. Let their schemes be turned to confusion, and let their words fall to the ground.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection over this household. Surround them with Your angels, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Give them wisdom to discern when to speak, when to act, and when to walk away. Do not let them be entangled in the snares of the enemy, nor burdened by the demands of the ungodly. You alone are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace.
We pray for those who are acting in hypocrisy—if they are truly Your children, convict them and bring them to repentance. If they are not, remove their influence and let their paths grow dark until they turn to You. Do not let Your child be yoked with unbelievers or those who profess You with their lips but deny You with their actions.
Lord, we declare that this home is under Your authority. No demonic assignment, no human manipulation, and no false obligation shall stand. You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who fights for His people. Let Your justice prevail, and let Your peace reign in this situation.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust in You alone, and we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray, amen.
