We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep pain of abandonment, betrayal, and the tragic loss of unborn children. The grief of those who have been forsaken—whether by a spouse, child, parent, sibling, or friend—is a wound only God can fully heal. The loneliness of having no refuge, no shelter, and no earthly support is a burden no one should carry alone. Yet we declare that even when father and mother forsake, the Lord will take you up (Psalm 27:10). He is the Father to the fatherless, the Defender of the weak, and the Comforter of the brokenhearted (Psalm 68:5, Psalm 34:18).
We mourn for the unborn babies who have been rejected, despised, or violently taken from this world. The shedding of innocent blood is an abomination before God (Proverbs 6:17), and the sin of abortion is a grave offense against His holy design for life. Yet we take comfort in knowing that the Lord is just and merciful, and that He receives these little ones into His arms. Jesus Himself said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). We entrust these precious souls to His care, praying that He would comfort their mothers and fathers with the truth of His love and the hope of redemption.
For those who have suffered abandonment, we pray that you would know the Lord as your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). When the world turns its back, He remains faithful. When relationships fracture, He binds up the brokenhearted. When loneliness threatens to overwhelm, He is nearer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). We rebuke the spirit of abandonment in the name of Jesus, declaring that you are seen, known, and deeply loved by the One who will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
For those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we pray for the healing power of Christ to break the chains of guilt, shame, and sorrow. There is no sin too great for His grace. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We encourage you to seek godly counsel, repentance, and restoration through the blood of Jesus, who paid the price for all sin.
We also lift up those who are currently facing the temptation to abandon their responsibilities—whether in marriage, parenthood, or friendship. The Lord calls us to love sacrificially, as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). Fleeing from commitment is not God’s design. We rebuke the spirit of fear, selfishness, and irresponsibility, and we pray for strength to walk in faithfulness, even when it is difficult.
Father God, we ask that You would pour out Your mercy upon those who are suffering from abandonment and betrayal. Heal their wounds, restore their hope, and fill the empty places in their hearts with Your perfect love. For those who have lost unborn children, we pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). For those who have abandoned others, we pray for conviction, repentance, and the courage to make things right. And for those who are considering abortion, we plead for Your intervention—open their eyes to the value of every human life, and lead them to choose life for their children.
We declare that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. In the mighty name of Jesus, we stand against the forces of darkness that seek to destroy families, relationships, and lives. We proclaim life, love, and restoration over every situation. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
