Ephesians 6:
10;Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12;For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evilin the heavenly.

We hear the heaviness in your request and we join with you in seeking the Lord together for His peace and protection over your home and your sleep. The Lord knows the distress that comes from a chaotic and intrusive environment, from neighbors and atmospheres that bring bullying, gossip, meddling, noise and spiritual oppression, and He invites us to bring it all to Him.

We stand with you on the promise you shared, Psalm 4:8 says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. That is our confidence, that true safety and true rest do not come from quiet streets or perfect neighbors but from the Lord Himself who watches over us. We also cling to Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty and to Philippians 4:6-7 which reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We agree with you in rebuking every work of darkness that has tried to disturb your peace, to steal your sleep, and to bring fear, nightmare and confusion. Scripture is clear that witchcraft, sorcery, and every form of spiritual manipulation are an abomination to God and have no authority over those who belong to Christ. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns against such practices, and 1 John 4:4 declares You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. We rebuke voyeurism, sexual perversion in the spirit, gossip, meddling, and every attempt to transfer ruin, sickness, tragedy and death onto you or others, and we declare that no curse or nightmare can stand against the blood of Jesus.

We also take to heart Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. This reminds us that people themselves are not our ultimate enemy, even when their behavior is imprudent, nosy, divisive or harassing. Romans 16:17 urges us to be watchful of those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching we have learned, and to avoid them. We are not called to carry the burden of being God for our neighbors or to defend or protect those who choose evil, we are called to set godly boundaries, to avoid what is divisive, and to entrust justice and protection to the Lord who is in control.

We pray together now for you and for others affected by this environment.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne, as Acts 4:12 declares. We thank You that You alone make us dwell in safety. We ask You to rebuke every demonic atmosphere, every spirit of witchcraft, sorcery, false prophecy, intimidation, disorder and discord that has gathered to harass, to meddle, and to disturb sleep and peace. We command in the name of Jesus Christ that every nightmare, every assignment of fear, sickness, ruin and tragedy be canceled and cast out. Your Word says in James 4:7 Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, and in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. Establish our brother and sister and guard them this night.

Lord, pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding over this home and over this bed. Let Your holy angels encamp around this dwelling as Psalm 34:7 promises. We ask that You restore restful sleep, quiet the noise and the harassment, and silence the gossip and voyeurism that invades privacy. Teach us to put on the whole armor of God daily, to walk in discernment, to avoid those who cause division, and to keep our hearts fixed on You and not on fear. We cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us, as 1 Peter 5:7 says. Let this neighborhood be under Your sovereign control and let no weapon formed against Your children prosper.

We thank You, Jesus, that You have already overcome the world and that in You we have authority to rest in peace. We receive Your rest now and we trust You to keep watch through the night. In the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him before sleep with prayer and the Word, to speak Psalm 4:8 and Psalm 91 aloud over your home, to keep your heart and mind guarded in Christ, and to walk in wise boundaries with those around you, knowing the Lord is your keeper and your peace.

We hear how exhausting this has been for you, feeling unsafe in your own neighborhood and unable to find real rest at night. Wanting to lie down in peace in your own bed is such a basic, God-given need, and it makes sense you are weary from the noise, the meddling, and the sense that others are disturbing your privacy and peace.

We want you to know you are not forgotten in this. God sees you where you are and He is the one who watches over you day and night. When fear feels loud, especially at night, we can gently turn our attention back to His steady presence and His care for you, rather than staying focused on the people or atmosphere that frightens us.

It can help not to carry this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, consider inviting them to pray with you regularly and to know how you are doing. Having one steady person who knows your situation brings comfort and wisdom for next steps. And if sleepless nights continue to wear on you, please also reach out to your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support for your health and rest.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. You know the fear and the longing for quiet, safe sleep. Cover this home with Your peace, calm this heart, and guard the night with Your presence. Grant wisdom for dealing with neighbors and any real harassment, and bring rest that restores. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We have heard your cry under a heavy burden, and we bring it before the throne of grace where our Lord hears the sighing of the afflicted. You speak of a neighborhood made restless by disorder, of nights broken by fear, of spirits of discord and malice that would invade the privacy of your home and steal the peace of your dwelling. These things are not light, and we do not despise your sorrow.

You have well quoted the word of the Psalmist, I will both lie down in peace, and sleep, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. Remember that sleep itself is the gift of God. We think we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we sleep, but it is not so. So He giveth His beloved sleep. It is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the world cannot give and cannot take away, for it comes from His hand alone. When the heart is kept by Christ, a man may lie down in peace though the noise of the street be loud, for the Lord Himself is his keeper.

Yet Scripture also teaches that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore we are called to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and to put on the full armor of God, that we may stand against the schemes of the devil. This you have rightly remembered from Ephesians the sixth chapter.

In this standing, we pray with you that every work of darkness, every whisper of witchcraft and sorcery, every prying and meddling spirit, every voyeurism and impurity that would perturb the peace of your home, would be rebuked in the power and name of Jesus Christ. We have no fellowship with such unfruitful works of darkness, but rather we expose them to the light of Christ. And we heed also the word in Romans, to mark those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the doctrine we have learned, and to avoid them. Where there is gossiping and nosy disturbance and bullying in the way, wisdom bids us to keep a holy distance and to guard the door of our lips and our dwelling in quietness.

We pray for you now, and for others who suffer in like manner, that the Lord would grant you rest in peace. May He who neither slumbers nor sleeps watch over your bed. May He drive far from you all fear and all evil suggestion, and give you that blessed sleep which He gives to His beloved, a sleep of a quiet conscience and a secure heart. May He make your dwelling to be a place of order and not of madhouse confusion, and may He teach you to cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this Thy servant. Thou alone makest us to dwell in safety. Cover this home with Thy wing, cleanse the air of every evil influence, and let no weapon formed against Thy child prosper. Clothe Thy servant with truth and righteousness and peace, and grant the nightly gift of sleep, that body and soul may be refreshed to serve Thee more faithfully. Keep far all that would steal peace or sow terror, and let Christ be enthroned as Lord in that house. We ask this in the strong and prevailing name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has overcome the world and who shall keep His own until the day of His appearing. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry for peaceful sleep and deliverance from the turmoil around you has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord who alone makes us dwell in safety.

You have quoted it truly, I will both lie down in peace and sleep for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. That promise stands, for He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He watches over His children even when the night around us is troubled. Our struggle, as you have rightly remembered from Ephesians 6, is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil. Therefore we put on the full armor of God, that we may stand against the schemes of the devil, strong not in ourselves but in His mighty power.

Much of what disturbs sleep comes not only from outside but from the state of the soul within. To be in the day depends on ourselves. In this present life night comes even against our will and sleep overtakes us, but the sleep of the soul, the sleep of wickedness, is of our own choice. Scripture calls us to watch and be sober, for sobriety is the intensity of watchfulness. A person can sleep while awake by doing nothing good, and there is a drunkenness that is not from wine only but from every vice, from greed, from lust, from anger and gossip and the desire to meddle in the lives of others. Vice is like a sleep and like a dream. The vicious person is inactive with respect to virtue and sees things not as they truly are but as fleeting phantasies. Riches and glory and all such things are a dream that flies away, and when we give ourselves to them we are weighed down and cannot rouse ourselves.

For this reason we are told to guard ourselves, lest at any time we should fall asleep. It is said, do not suffer your foot to be moved. The suffering depends on ourselves, not on another, and if we will stand steadfast and unmoveable we shall not be shaken. We are also told, make not provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. We are to care for the body for health, not for wantonness, not lighting up the flame and making the furnace more powerful. When we prune away excess, when we spend our industry on spiritual things rather than on stirring up desire, the soul becomes orderly, and as the soul is so is our sleep. When the heart is not stifled by excess, sleep is composed and regular and falls lightly upon us merely affording rest, and even our dreams are not full of wild fancies and monstrous visions. But when nights are spent in revelling or in plotting, in anxiously thinking about money or meditating enmity and raking up the embers of wrath, that watching is worse than sleep itself.

I pray with you now in the power of the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, that every demonic atmosphere, every work of witchcraft and sorcery, every spirit of voyeurism and sexual impurity, every fake encounter and intrusion upon your privacy, every gossiping and nosy and bullying disturbance on the road or in the neighborhood, every attempt to transfer ruin, misery, sickness, tragedy and death onto you, and every environment of disorder and discord like a madhouse around your life, be rebuked and cancelled. We have no obligation to carry the burden of those who choose evil, nor are we God to defend or protect those who persist in it. We leave judgment and protection to the Lord who is in control.

May the Lord grant you and others in your household rest in peace, quiet sleep in your bed, and a dwelling in safety. May He teach you to watch and be sober, to close the door to what is impure, to avoid those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the faith as Romans 16:17 urges, and to turn aside from meddling and imprudent behavior. Like Paul and Silas who at midnight, when even the most wakeful are asleep, sang praises to God though scourged and bound, may you learn not to sink under affliction but to lift your heart to Him who can shake open doors and loose bonds.

I ask the Lord to clothe you with His armor, to guard your eyes and ears and mouth, to make your soul ordered and your sleep peaceful, and to keep you steadfast until that true day comes which has no night. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray for your safety, your rest, and your peace. Amen.
