We hear the deep pain and struggle in your heart, and we want you to know that these feelings of unworthiness and fear do not come from God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your worth is not found in your performance or your feelings but in the finished work of Christ on the cross. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). This includes you. God’s love is not conditional, it is freely given to those who receive it by faith.
We must rebuke the lies that tell you God does not love you or that He will withhold good from you. Scripture declares, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!" (Matthew 7:11). God is not a harsh taskmaster waiting to punish you, He is a loving Father who delights in you. The thoughts that torment you are not from Him, and we stand against them in the name of Jesus.
Your struggle with OCD may amplify these thoughts, but we pray for God’s peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also encourage you to renew your mind with the truth of God’s Word daily. Speak these truths aloud when the lies creep in: "I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their heart to You. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of fear and unbelief that have taken root in their mind. Replace every lie with Your truth. Remind them that they are Your beloved child, chosen and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Father, we ask for Your peace to flood their soul, silencing the accusations of the enemy. Strengthen their faith to trust in Your goodness, even when their feelings say otherwise. Heal their heart from past wounds that may have distorted their view of You. Fill them with the assurance of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out godly community, whether through a local church, a trusted pastor, or Christian counseling, to help you walk through this battle. You are not alone, and God has not abandoned you. Keep pressing into His Word and His presence. The more you meditate on His truth, the more the lies will lose their power. You are deeply loved, and God’s plans for you are for good, not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, your breakthrough is coming.
