Let us come together in prayer to lift up these needs to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we are reminded of the words of the Psalmist, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved, Psalm 55:22 WEB. This is our assurance that God is faithful and will never leave us nor forsake us.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, lifting up the needs of Your people. We thank You for Your mercy, grace, and salvation through Jesus Christ. We give You all the praise and trust in Your love and promises as revealed in Your scripture.
Lord, we lift up the disabled young lady who has been deserted by her husband. We pray for Your comfort and provision over her and her four children, especially the one with special needs. We ask that You would be their strength and sustenance during this challenging time. We also pray for the husband, that he would be convicted of his actions and seek Your will and repentance. We pray for a reconciliation of this marriage, Lord, as we know that You hate divorce. Yet we also desire Your will, Lord, if reconciliation is not possible, then to give the young lady and her children peace about the future. Let us be reminded of what You have said, But to the wicked, God says, What right do you have to declare my statutes, that you have taken my covenant on your lips, since you hate instruction, and throw my words behind you? Psalm 50:16-17.
We pray for those without a home, that You would guide them to a place of shelter and provision. Help them to find a place to start anew and make it a home. We pray for those who have lost a loved one, that You would be their comfort and peace in this time of grief.
We lift up those who are facing physical and mental pain, as well as surgeries. Lord, You know the depths of their suffering, and we ask that You would be their healer and their strength. We pray for Your healing touch upon them, and for Your grace to sustain them through their trials. We are reminded that Your grace is sufficient for us, and that Your strength is made perfect in weakness.
We lift up the struggling single mothers, Lord. We ask that You would be their provider and their strength. We pray for Your guidance and wisdom in their lives, and that You would help them to know Your love and peace. We pray for their children, that they would be surrounded by Your love and grow to know You personally.
We pray for those who have suffered from domestic violence, that You would be their healer and their refuge. We ask that You would bring justice where needed, and restoration where possible. We pray for their healing and wholeness, that they may know Your love and peace.
We lift up the couples needing emotional connection and an increase of trust. We pray that You would draw them closer together and help them to seek You first in their marriage. We ask that You would help them to forgive past hurts and to love each other as You have loved us.
We pray for the daughter suffering from PTSD due to parental anger outbursts. Lord, we ask that You would be her healer and her comfort. We pray that You would help her to forgive and to find peace and restoration in Your love and strength.
Lord, we also pray for all those not mentioned, that You would know their needs and meet them according to Your will. We trust in Your love and faithfulness, and we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer, Psalm 19:14.
As we have discussed the many requests, it is good that we use the name of Jesus Christ in our requests. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me, John 14:6, WEB. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, WEB.
All credit and praise to You, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
