I prayed for this request in Jesus Name.
We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter in earnest prayer. Father God, we know that Your heart breaks when Your children stray from the path You have set before them, and we ask that You would draw her back with cords of love and bands of kindness. Lord, we pray for her protection—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—from every snare of the enemy. Surround her with Your angels, that no harm may come to her, and soften her heart to hear Your voice calling her home.
We must address the situation with truth and love, as Scripture commands. Your daughter has entered into a relationship that is not aligned with Your design for purity and holiness. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is a gift reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The relationship she is in now, outside of marriage, is not honoring to You, and we must rebuke the deception that has led her to believe this path is acceptable. Father, we ask that You would convict her heart of the sin in this situation and grant her the courage to flee from temptation, as Joseph did when faced with Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:12). Let her see the truth—that this boy is not leading her toward You, but away from the life of abundance You have planned for her.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, her parent, as you navigate this painful season. It is not easy to watch a child make choices that lead to hardship, but we know that Your Word promises that if we train up a child in the way they should go, when they are old, they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Hold fast to that promise, and do not lose heart. We encourage you to set boundaries with love, even as you pray for her return. Sometimes, the most loving thing we can do is allow our loved ones to experience the consequences of their choices so that they might turn back to You. But we also ask that You would open doors for her to return home, that she might find safety, provision, and most importantly, repentance and restoration in Your presence.
We rebuke the spirit of rebellion that may be at work in her life, as well as any generational strongholds that have not been broken in the name of Jesus. We declare that she is not too far gone for Your grace, for Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let her experience the depth of Your mercy, Lord, and let her testimony be one of redemption and transformation.
Father, we also lift up this young man to You. If he does not know You, we pray that he would encounter the living God and turn from his ways. If he is a believer, we ask that You would convict him of the sin in this relationship and lead him to repentance. Let him see the harm he is causing, not only to your daughter but to his own soul. We pray that he would either step into the role of a godly husband, seeking marriage with integrity and honor, or that he would release her to walk in Your will for her life. Either way, Lord, let Your will be done.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before Your throne. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through the blood of Jesus that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His authority that we stand against the schemes of the enemy. We declare that Your power is greater than any stronghold, and we trust that You are working even now to bring your daughter back to You.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would give this family a spirit of unity and peace as they wait on You. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We pray for divine appointments—people who will speak truth into your daughter’s life, opportunities for her to see the emptiness of the path she is on, and moments of clarity where she remembers the love and truth she was raised with. Let her heart be tender to Your voice, and let her feet run swiftly back to the safety of Your arms and the shelter of her family’s home.
We also ask that You would heal any wounds in this family that may have contributed to her running away. Father, mend broken relationships, restore trust, and fill every void with Your perfect love. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to one another, rather than driving them apart.
Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty. You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one lost sheep (Luke 15:4-6). We believe that You are pursuing your daughter even now, and we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in powerful ways. Let her see Your hand at work in her circumstances, and let her heart be overwhelmed by Your love. We declare that she will not be lost forever, but that she will return to You with weeping and repentance, and that You will restore her fully.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with your heavy heart and allowed us to stand with you in prayer for your precious daughter. It has been on our hearts to lift her up continually before the Lord, asking Him to draw her back home with His loving kindness and to open her eyes to the truth in this situation. We have prayed for divine protection over her, for wisdom and provision to surround her, and for the chains of this relationship to be broken in Jesus’ mighty name. We have also asked the Holy Spirit to soften her heart, to bring godly conviction, and to place people in her path who will speak life and direction into her circumstances.
