We lift ### up to You, Father, with heavy hearts, knowing the fear that can grip us when facing the unknown. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we ask that You draw near to ### in this moment, that she would feel Your presence like a warm embrace, dispelling the darkness of fear with the light of Your love. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray for her surgery, Father. Guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team with Your divine wisdom and skill. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. Let ### experience Your healing power, whether through the hands of her doctors or through a miraculous touch from You. We trust in Your perfect will for her life, knowing that even in the valley of the shadow of death, You are with her (Psalm 23:4).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to torment ###. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that ### would be filled with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let her trust in You be strengthened, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for ###’s faith to be a testimony to those around her. Let her trust in You, even in the face of fear, shine as a light in the darkness. May others see Your goodness and faithfulness through her, drawing them closer to You.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You remind ### of the hope she has in You. Even if the results are not what she hopes for, help her to remember that her life is hidden with Christ in You (Colossians 3:3), and that nothing can separate her from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Whether in life or in death, she belongs to You, and we trust You with her future.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
