Beloved of All
Your honest prayer has been heard and taken to heart, and I am joining you in prayer right now for the bleeding to stop and for strength and health to be restored to your body.
Jesus showed us how deeply God cares about physical suffering. He never used His power to meet His own needs, but He was moved with compassion to meet the needs of others when they were sick, weak, and afraid. He understands what it is to live in a human body with its frailties, and He looks on you with that same compassion today.
I want to pray for your healing with full faith that God is able to heal and that He still heals today. Scripture tells us that the Messiah would bear our infirmities as well as our sins, and Matthew applies the prophecy of Isaiah, surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, to the physical healings Jesus did. When Jesus gave the bread at the table and said this is my body broken for you, He was pointing to a work that touches both soul and body.
At the same time there is much about healing that we do not fully understand. We do not know why some are healed quickly and others are not, and we cannot presume that God wills a miraculous healing in every case in the way we expect. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, and God answered him differently, showing that His grace and purpose were at work in another way. That does not stop us from praying boldly, it simply keeps us trusting His wisdom while we ask.
Healing in the Bible is not always instant. There is one account where Jesus healed a blind man in stages, laying His hands on him again until his sight became clear. That reminds us that God often heals gradually, and that the ordinary processes of recovery that He placed in our bodies are themselves from Him. The one who made nature made the processes of nature, and any true healing, whether sudden or step by step, is divine. God also brings healing to the mind and heart, lifting fear and bringing peace, which itself helps the body, for as the proverb says, a merry heart does good like medicine, and we are learning more and more how closely the health of the soul and the health of the body are linked.
So I am praying for you for a complete work of God in you, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I pray that the bleeding would cease, that your strength would return, that you would gain health and not lose more, and that fear would be replaced with peace. I also encourage you, as you pray, to seek medical care promptly for bleeding and weight loss. To care for the body, to seek cleanliness and good care, and to use the help God has provided through doctors and treatment is wise stewardship and does not show a lack of faith. God often works His healing through those means.
May the Lord touch you, restore you, and give you assurance of His presence and love through Jesus Christ. May He give you wisdom for each step to take and surround you with help and comfort. We ask this trusting that God hears, that He is compassionate, and that He will do what is best according to His perfect will.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You see the bleeding, the loss of weight, the weakness and the fear of going down instead of being built up. Lay Your healing hand upon this body, cause what is broken to be mended, stop what should stop, and restore what has been lost. Bring healing whether suddenly or gradually as You will, and bring peace to the heart and mind. Give guidance to those who can help medically, and give faith to trust You day by day. Amen.
