Needed Prayer Warriors

Fluadsor

Disciple of Prayer
I am asking for prayer warriors to come alongside my son who is ### turning ### and I during a very difficult season. Following a situation between us, my son left home and has stopped responding to my texts, and emails. My heart is broken. I long for reconciliation and restored communication with him.

My son accepted Jesus and was baptized at youth camp about a ### years ago, but he has since walked away from his faith. I am praying earnestly that God will draw him back to Jesus and soften his heart toward me.

As a single father, I don't have a partner to lean on or pray with me. I am asking for committed prayer warriors who will stand with us and continue praying without ceasing until God brings breakthrough, healing, restoration, and reconciliation.

My son got into a accident in a vehicle ###, I tried to contact him and he will not talk to me. Pray that the silence and no communication will end. Pray that the darkness and evil will end.

Please stand with us in prayer. We desperately need it

Backsliding Healed
God promises to restore wandering hearts and free them from sin’s grip.
Home Again
Returning to God brings overwhelming joy that calls you to come home now.
Unstaggering Faith
Strong faith in God’s promises overcomes all human impossibilities and brings Him glory.
We hear your broken heart and we are standing with you as prayer warriors in this very difficult season, lifting you and your son before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name. We know the pain of silence from a child you love so deeply, and we grieve with you while we also hold fast to hope.

Your longing for reconciliation is the very heart of our Father. Scripture reminds us that God desires to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, Malachi 4:6. We are reminded of the prodigal son who left home, yet while he was still far off his father saw him and was moved with compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him, Luke 15:20. Even when your son has walked away from his faith after accepting Jesus and being baptized, we cling to the promise that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. The seed of faith planted at youth camp is not forgotten by God, and we pray He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.

We also understand your loneliness as a single father without a partner to lean on. Though you feel alone, you are not alone, for God Himself promises He will in no way leave you, neither will He in any way forsake you, Hebrews 13:5, and He is a father of the fatherless, Psalm 68:5. We urge you to lean not only on us but on a local body of believers who can stand with you face to face, bear your burdens, and pray without ceasing with you, 1 Thessalonians 5:17. The effective, earnest prayer of the righteous has great power, James 5:16. Continue to show your son steady, unconditional love without provoking him to anger, Ephesians 6:4, keeping the door open for reconciliation as far as it depends on you, Romans 12:18, while trusting God's timing and not overwhelming him with constant messages that may harden his heart further. Entrust him daily to the Lord who sees where he is, even after this vehicle accident, and who is able to keep him safe and bring him home.

We recognize the spiritual battle you described when you asked for prayer that the darkness and evil will end. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness, Ephesians 6:12, and we pray for God's light to break through that darkness. We pray too that God will guard your own heart with His peace that passes all understanding, Philippians 4:6-7, as you wait.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne, Acts 4:12, John 14:6. We lift this precious father to You and ask You to comfort his broken heart, for You are near to those who have a broken heart and save those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. Strengthen him in his loneliness, remind him daily that You are with him, and surround him with faithful brothers and sisters to bear this burden with him.

We lift his son to You. Lord, protect him physically after this accident and heal any wounds seen and unseen. Where there is silence and no communication, we ask You to break the wall of silence in Your perfect timing. Soften his heart toward his father and, more importantly, draw him back to Yourself with cords of lovingkindness. Remove the darkness and evil influence that has pulled him away, open his eyes to see Your love again, and bring him to repentance and restoration of fellowship with You. We pray for complete healing, breakthrough, and reconciliation according to Your will, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28.

We will continue to stand with you without ceasing until God brings the breakthrough. Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and keep trusting that our God hears and answers. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We have been holding you and your son before the Lord since we read your request. The silence after your son left home, and then hearing he was in an accident and still not hearing back from him, would leave any father heartbroken. Carrying that alone as a single father without someone beside you to pray with makes the weight even heavier. We see how much you love him and how faithfully you are praying for him.

We know you long for the door to open again right away. Reconciliation is often slower than we wish, because it involves two hearts being willing to move toward each other. Your steady, loving posture matters even while you wait, and it is not wasted even on the days you hear nothing back.

One thing that has helped other parents in this kind of silence is to keep communication simple and open without pressure. A brief, kind text every week or so that lets him know you love him, you are here, and you are praying, without asking for a long reply, can keep the door open. And because you asked for prayer warriors to stand with you, we would encourage you to ask one trusted pastor or friend to check in with you regularly so you are not carrying this alone. You do not have to keep it all inside.

Father, we lift this father and his son to You in Jesus' name. Draw near to this dad in his loneliness and give him strength for each day. Protect his son, soften his heart toward You and toward his father, and in Your time bring a way for honest, gentle communication to begin again. Give them both healing and wisdom for whatever steps come next. Amen.

The sorrow you have poured out before the Lord has been heard, and it is right and good that you have asked others to watch with you in prayer. A broken heart is a great ill, and there are several forms of it, but none more piercing than when a child is far off and will not answer. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, yet this wound of the spirit drives us to the one Physician who alone can heal. That healing is generally apart from all means, God only does it, and He binds up the broken hearted with His own hand.

You speak of a son who once confessed Jesus and was baptized, and who now walks far from Him, and who since an accident will not answer text nor email. This is the way of the prodigal. If we had read that the father had kicked his prodigal son we should not have been astonished, yet the father in the parable was to represent God, and He does not so. When the son was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him much. Those many kisses had many meanings. They meant love and forgiveness, and they combined to make the wayward son feel that his sin was indeed all gone. They meant full restoration, so that when the prodigal came back and his father had kissed him, he was to his father as if he had never gone away. They meant joy and comfort, to make him happy then and there, with music and dancing, for God will rejoice over a poor soul that has wandered far from Him but at last returns. And they meant strong assurance, to make him quite certain that it was all real. All the promises in this Book belong to every repentant sinner who returns to God believing in Jesus Christ, His Son. So we pray that your son may know this prodigal love, not as a notion, but as a real saving work of God.

Take heart also from the old testament prodigal, Manasseh. He was the child of an eminently godly father, Hezekiah, who worked that which was good and right and truth before the Lord. Yet Manasseh, though a son of David with David's blood in his veins, had not David's ways in his heart, and became a wild degenerate shoot of a noble vine, defiled and cruel beyond conception. He was much to be pitied when his good father was called away and his tender son was left alone amid flatterers and idolaters. Yet even this man, when he was in affliction, besought the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly, and God was entreated of him. If the Lord could reclaim Manasseh, He can reclaim your son. The same is seen in Peter. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, and his restoration was brought about by two outward means, the crowing of the cock and a look from the Lord. The Lord turned and looked upon Peter, and that divine look did the deed. It severed him from the crowd and melted him to repentance. We pray for such a look of Christ upon your son, that overwhelming evidence of sin may give way to overwhelming grace.

You ask for healing and for an end to silence and darkness. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and then, Arise and take up your couch. Pardon and healing were one. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His grace has infused into us will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. So we look for healing for your son's body after his accident, and far more for the healing of his soul, and for the healing of your own wounded spirit as you wait.

He is the God of Peace and He has, on His part, prepared everything that is necessary for a perfect reconciliation. The work of reconciliation He committed to His Son, and the word of reconciliation He has committed to us. We are not sent to find out a way of reconciling you to God, for He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation, that without any violation of His justice He can have mercy upon those who have offended Him, through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name by which we must be saved. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His word, but we ask Him to draw sinners to repentance and to restore what sin has broken according to His holy will. For you as a father without a partner to lean upon, know that the Lord Himself draws near to watch with you. He has committed unto His people the ministry of reconciliation because we can speak from experience of the joy which being at peace with God brings.

Therefore we will stand with you and pray without ceasing. We will pray that the Lord will soften your son's heart, that He will incline him to answer and to speak again, that the silence will be broken in God's good time, and that the darkness and evil which now holds him will be purged. We will pray that the Spirit will bring him to consider his way, to retrace his steps and to seek his God who in Christ Jesus can heal him, and that he will return in repentance and faith to Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We will pray that you will be sustained, that you will not heed the voice of the elder brother who would keep the prodigal away, but that you will wait as the father waited, with love that runs to meet, and that you will be kept from presumption and given a real healing from His hand.

May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you both with healing in His wings, and may He who works cures very suddenly touch and the deed be done at once, to the praise of His grace. We commit you to Him who is able to restore perfectly, and to make merry over the returning wanderer. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heartbreak as a father has been heard, and we are standing with you in prayer before the Lord in this painful season of silence and separation.

We know what it is to long for a child who has left home and will not answer, and we know the added sorrow when that child once confessed Christ and was baptized, yet has now walked away. The Scriptures show us the image of the prodigal son, and the father who waits and watches with love, and they also show us a greater reconciliation. God saw us when we were enemies, cast down and perishing, and had compassion on us. He did not appoint another to act for us, but He Himself became our merciful and faithful High Priest, and by Himself He purged our sins and made reconciliation for us. That same Christ who brought an end to the long war between God and our nature, who opened Paradise and brought hope where there was darkness, is able to work in the heart of your son.

So we are praying with you and for you without ceasing, as you have asked.

We are praying that the Lord Jesus, who alone is the way of salvation, will draw your son back to Himself, remind him of the faith he once professed, soften his heart, and bring him to repentance and renewed life. We are praying that God will lift the darkness and restrain evil, that He will heal and protect your son following his accident, and that He will open a door for communication to be restored between you. We are praying that the silence will end and that God will give you both a spirit of humility, mercy, and peace, so that true healing and restoration can take place in His time and in His way.

We are also praying for you in your loneliness as a single father. You are not without help or fellowship, for the Lord Himself is near to you, He hears your prayers, and He has put His word of reconciliation in His people so that we may bear one another's burdens. Do not grow weary in praying, and do not grow weary in loving your son from a distance. Continue to show the meekness, mercy, and peacemaking that belongs to those who follow Christ, keeping your heart guarded in patience and entrusting your son fully to the care of the Father who never stops seeking the lost.

We will continue to stand with you as prayer warriors until God brings breakthrough. May the Lord comfort your heart, strengthen your faith, and in His mercy bring reconciliation, healing, and restoration for you and your son.
