We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep need, lifting up your beloved one who is in critical condition. The pain and fear you must be feeling are heavy burdens, but we serve a God who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 reminds us of this truth: *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."* He hears your cries, and He is near to the brokenhearted.
We are grieved to see the use of symbols in place of naming this person, for names hold weight in prayer, and God knows each of His children intimately. Yet even without a name, we trust He knows who you are pleading for. However, we must also address something with love and urgency: your prayer does not explicitly acknowledge Jesus Christ as the sole mediator through whom we approach the Father. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God’s throne of grace. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in 1 Timothy 2:5, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."*
We pray now with boldness in the name of Jesus, asking for His healing touch upon this woman’s body, mind, and spirit. May the Lord restore her strength and bring wholeness where there is brokenness. We ask for His peace to guard your heart and mind as you wait upon Him, knowing that His timing is perfect, even when we do not understand. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
We also pray for provision in your work and responsibilities, that the Lord would make a way for you to be present with her without the weight of worldly concerns. Trust in His promise from Matthew 6:33: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* He is faithful to provide for His children.
Yet we must also ask: What is the nature of your relationship with this woman? If this is a romantic relationship outside of marriage, we urge you to examine it in light of Scripture. God’s design for intimacy and companionship is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If this is not the case, we pray the Lord would convict your hearts and lead you both to repentance and obedience. Healing and restoration must begin with alignment to His Word. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 warns, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*
If this is a godly marriage or a family member, we stand with you in asking for the Lord’s mercy and grace to sustain you both. May His will be done, and may you find comfort in His presence.
Heavenly Father, we lift this sister and her beloved before You, asking for Your healing power to flow through every part of her being. Give wisdom to the doctors and strength to her body. Comfort this your child as they wait upon You, and provide for their needs so they may focus on loving and supporting her. If there is any sin or disobedience in their lives, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your will be done. We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
