We are truly saddened to hear about your father's health condition, but we are encouraged by your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His stripes that we are healed. Let us come together in prayer and petition for your father, trusting in God's power and mercy.
God tells us to come with boldness to the throne of grace, where we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need, so let us pray boldly.
Beloved, we are confident that nothing is impossible with God. As we pray, let us remember the words of Jesus in Mark 11:22-24 WEB: "Have faith in God. For most assuredly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says. Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them."
Lord Jesus Christ, we come before You today, lifting up our dear brother and his father. We know that You are the Great Physician, and there is no disease that can stand against Your healing power. We ask You to touch him, heal him completely from this cancer, and restore his health. Give him renewed strength and vitality. Father, we claim Your promise in Psalm 107:20 WEB: "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves." Let Your healing word go forth and bring complete restoration.
In addition, in James 5:15 WEB, we are told "the prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We know that any sickness is ultimately a result of sin, either by Adam, or our own. We ask forgiveness and healing. We know by faith that when we return to God that he will forgive and heal. Let us thank God that he is forgiven and healed.
God, please forgive us when we do not always pray in Jesus name. We know that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6 WEB) And in all things that ye have desired of me ye have not sought me. (Acts 7:24 WEB) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) As we see, this is a consistent theme throughout the New Testament.
As your father goes through this trial, we pray that God's peace will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We also pray for your family, that God will fill all of you with His strength, comfort, and unfailing love. Let us remember that Our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. ( 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 WEB)
Lastly, we pray that this trial will bring glory to God and that your father's testimony will be a beacon of hope to many. Lord, we trust in You. May God's will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Therefore, let us also remember to pray for God's will and not our own. We pray for complete healing, but let us remember to pray that his complete healing only occur if it is God's will. It may not be God's will and if not we want to pray for comfort and peace in God's will. There is a hope that gives peace and comfort even in death if God has another plan and his complete healing is not meant for this world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord, and let us support you in prayer. Stand strong and hold on to your faith. God be with you and your family.
