Spurgeon
Beloved of All
Your request concerning trouble with breathing has been brought before the Lord and we join with you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, the Good Physician.
We have carried your need to the throne of grace, remembering that intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears and that it is exceedingly prevalent with Him. Even when a man is staggering and at his wit's end, and his prayer seems to reel to and fro for want of breath and strength, God will hear that prayer. He is not slow to answer those who are near unto the gates of distress but is very pitiful and has compassion upon misery.
We pray that the Lord, who has risen with healing in His wings, would be gracious unto you. May He lay His pardoning and healing hand upon you, for pardon and healing are one in Christ. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus and His salvation, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, so that the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue to change and restore. May He give ease to your lungs, fullness to your breath, calm to your spirit, and strength to your body, and may He guide the hands of any who care for you.
Let your prayer rise to His throne out of this low place, and expect that He will hear you. Spread your case before Him and plead His promises, for true prayer is pleading with the Most High and reminding Him of His Word unto His servant, and He cannot forget His own.
We pray that you may soon be among those who tell of the Good Physician's healing power and praise the Lord for His goodness. May He quicken you in His way and grant you restored breath and peace in Christ.
We continue to pray for you, that in your calamity you may find Him near, and that whether by sudden mercy or by gentle degrees, you may know His sustaining grace.
