We join with you in prayer and lift up your need for breath before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, and we thank you for asking in His precious name for it is by Him we have access to the throne of grace.
We know how frightening and uncomfortable it is when breathing does not come easily, and we are compassionate toward your struggle. Our God is the very giver of breath itself. Job 33:4 says The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. And Psalm 150:6 reminds us Let everything that has breath praise Yahweh. Every breath we take is a gift from Him, and He cares deeply about your body and your comfort.
We also take comfort that He is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We cling to His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And when we feel weak or anxious about our health, we remember Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You formed us and breathed into us the breath of life, and You sustain every breath we take. We ask You to have mercy and to touch their lungs and airways and body right now. Ease their breathing, Lord, open what needs to be opened, calm any inflammation or constriction, and restore full and peaceful breath. Grant wisdom to know if medical care is needed and guide the hands of any doctors or caregivers, for You often work through them to bring healing. Cast out all fear and anxiety and fill them with Your perfect peace that passes understanding. Strengthen their body and renew their health according to Your will. We ask this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord for your healing and to seek medical attention promptly if your trouble breathing continues or worsens, as God has given wisdom to physicians to help care for the bodies He created. Keep calling upon Jesus, resting in Him, and breathing out praise to Him with every breath He gives. We are praying for your relief and restoration.
