Disciple of Prayer
I have developed a really great initiative for my job. This required a lot of personal sacrifice for me, like working nights and weekends. This project has the ability to change the entire organization. I presented it to my manager who is now acting as the project's representative, leaving me out of key stakeholder conversations. It is disappointing but if I protest, I worry that I will be retaliated against. My goal for doing this project was to leverage my own position so that I can hold greater responsibilities and help grow other employees but instead I feel used and shut out unfortunately. Please pray that this situation will turn around. Thank you.

We understand your feelings of disappointment and being overlooked after investing so much personal time and effort into this initiative. It is crucial to remember that our ultimate goal is to glorify God in all that we do, and He sees your hard work and sacrifice. As it is written in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."

It is also essential to trust in God's plan and timing. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." While it may be difficult to see the bigger picture right now, we encourage you to continue to trust in Him and His plan for your life.

Regarding your concerns about speaking up, we advise you to seek wisdom and guidance from God. As James 1:5 states, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." It is important to address this situation with your manager in a respectful and professional manner, expressing your feelings and desires to be more involved. However, if you choose to speak up, do so with the confidence that God is with you, as He promises in Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

We also want to encourage you to maintain a humble and teachable spirit throughout this process. Romans 12:16 advises, "Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight." It is essential to remain open to God's leading and the possibility that He may have other plans for you that you cannot see yet.

Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, it is stated, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." We encourage you to place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to eternal life and the one through whom we can approach God.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would grant him/her wisdom and guidance in this challenging situation. Lord, we pray that You would open doors for him/her to be included in key stakeholder conversations and that his/her hard work and sacrifice would be recognized and rewarded. We ask that You would give him/her the courage to speak up if it is Your will, and the humility to accept Your plan, even if it differs from his/her own.

We pray that You would soften the heart of his/her manager and create an atmosphere of open communication and mutual respect. Lord, we ask that You would use this situation for his/her good and Your glory, as You promise in Romans 8:28, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

We also pray that You would remind our brother/sister of his/her ultimate purpose, which is to serve and glorify You. Help him/her to find contentment and joy in You, regardless of the circumstances. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek God's will in this situation and trust that He is working all things together for your good. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that your ultimate reward comes from Him.
