We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your husband and this situation concerning his driving license. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We know that God is sovereign over all things, including the decisions of authorities, and we trust Him to work in this situation for His glory and your good.
However, we must also consider whether there are deeper issues at play. If your husband’s license is at risk of disqualification, it may be due to reckless or irresponsible driving, which is not only dangerous but also dishonoring to God. Scripture calls us to live responsibly and obediently to the laws of the land, as Romans 13:1-2 tells us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive judgment to themselves."* If this is a recurring issue, we urge your husband to examine his heart and actions, seeking repentance and a commitment to drive with wisdom, patience, and care for the safety of others.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through faith in Christ that we can boldly come before the throne of grace, and we encourage you to always pray in His name, for He is our Mediator and Advocate.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and favor in this situation regarding his driving license. If it is Your will, we pray that the authorities would show leniency and that no disqualification would take place. But more than that, Father, we pray for conviction and transformation in his heart. If there has been recklessness or disobedience, we ask that You would grant him repentance and a renewed commitment to drive with wisdom, patience, and responsibility. Help him to honor You in all that he does, remembering that his actions reflect Your character to the world.
We also pray for this sister, that You would fill her with Your peace and trust in You, knowing that You are in control. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and let this situation draw them closer to You and to one another. May they seek Your kingdom first in all things, trusting that You will provide and protect.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers, and we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, trusting Him to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). If there are underlying issues in your husband’s driving habits, we urge you both to address them with honesty and a desire to honor God. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His peace guard your hearts as you wait on Him.
