Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so openly and with such honesty about the many burdens you are carrying. God sees each of these areas and He hears your prayers for your studies, your work and visa, your future marriage, and your family situation.
One truth to hold onto is that God has always left room for Himself to work. In the old law there was even a provision for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy was incurable by human means. God made a way for Himself to do what no one else could do. That shows His heart. Do not put Him in a box. What looks closed or impossible to people is not closed to Him. He is able to make a way for your visa to be sustained, for doors of employment to open, and for your exams to be completed with clarity and focus. Pray for wisdom, for James says God gives wisdom freely when we ask Him, and keep feeding on His Word and waiting on Him in prayer. That inner strengthening is how the spiritual life grows strong.
Jesus also cares about very practical needs. When He entered the home of Simon and saw his mother in law sick with a fever, He took her by the hand and lifted her up and the fever left her. He notices the pressures in a household, the health concerns, the daily stress, and He comes near to lift up and restore. Ask Him for that same touch upon your health, your mind for study, and your home.
Much of the pressure you feel from relatives, rumors, and the constant questions about marriage is painful, especially when you are without parents to stand with you. Sometimes God allows pressure to crowd us closer to Jesus, because He alone can relieve what no one else can. When others urge you to compromise and to marry quickly just because of age or opinion, even if the person does not walk with God, do not yield to that. Marriage in Scripture is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and physical union belongs within that covenant. It is right to wait for the partner God has set apart for you, a person who loves Jesus and will walk with you faithfully, rather than settling out of fear or pressure. The Lord is your redeemer and restorer. As He provided a redeemer to preserve a family name and lineage that led to David and to Christ, He sees your family situation and He can redeem and provide where there has been loss.
You also spoke of feeling judged as stubborn or arrogant and of the conflict with your sister and the hurt from neighbors and relatives. There is a bond in the family of God that can be deeper than even natural family ties. When we are in Christ we are joined together as one people through Him. Lean into fellowship with believers who encourage you, pray with you, and speak truth with love. That community is a gift from God when natural relationships are strained.
You mentioned fear about evil eyes affecting health, work and relationships. There is no power greater than Jesus. Through His sacrifice He alone has made provision for sin and protection for His people. Those who trust Him are not left without defense. Put on the armor God provides, remain in prayer, and rest in the fact that no curse or ill wish can separate you from His care. Bring every fear to Him and ask for His peace to guard your heart.
I am praying with you that God will keep your current visa secure until He provides the next step, that He will open a door for employment with a visa and a salary that allows you to live independently and provide for your needs, that He will grant you focus, memory and understanding for your certification and courses, and that in His perfect timing He will bring a godly marriage partner according to His will. I am also praying for peace in your household, for your sister and brother in law, for protection over your family relationships, for healing and strength, and for grace to answer others with gentleness while keeping your conscience clear before God.
God opens doors that no one can shut. Keep seeking Him first, trusting that He will align your steps and bring what is needed to pass for His glory. He is faithful and He will not allow you to be left without His help.
