We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister in Christ who is enduring such deep pain and brokenness. Father, we know that nothing is impossible for You, and we stand in the gap for this marriage, this family, and this woman who is crying out for Your intervention. We declare that what the enemy has meant for destruction, You will turn around for restoration and glory. The Bible tells us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." Lord, we rebuke the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness that has taken hold in this marriage. We command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We pray for this husband, that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of his sin and draw him back to You and to his wife. Jeremiah 31:22 says, "How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? For Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman will encompass a man." Lord, we declare that this wife will encompass her husband again, that he will be drawn back to her as iron is drawn to a magnet. We break the stronghold that this other woman has over him, for it is written in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We resist the enemy’s lies and deception, and we command every ungodly soul tie to be severed in Jesus’ name.
We lift up this daughter who is grieving the absence of her father. Father, comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 promises. Heal her heart and restore the relationship with her father. We pray for this wife, that You would strengthen her in her weakness, heal her body, and provide for her every financial need. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Lord, deliver this family from this affliction and bring them into a place of wholeness and joy.
We also must address the sin of adultery that has taken root here. The Bible is clear in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." This husband is living in sin, and it is separating him from God and from his family. We pray that he would repent and turn away from this woman, for his own sake and for the sake of his marriage. We also pray for the other woman, that her eyes would be opened to the destruction she is causing, and that she would turn from this path of sin.
Father, we ask for a miracle of restoration in this marriage. We declare that the love that once bound this couple together will be reignited, stronger than ever before. We speak life into this family, that joy would replace sorrow, and that unity would replace division. We trust in Your promise in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you." Restore the years that have been lost, Lord, and bring this family into a new season of blessing and favor.
We also want to gently remind this sister that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved, as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, repenting of any sin in your own life, and surrendering your heart to Him. He is the only way to true peace, healing, and restoration.
Lord, we ask for a financial miracle for this sister. Open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that she will not have room enough to receive, as You promise in Malachi 3:10. Heal her body, Lord, for by Your stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen her faith, and help her to stand firm on Your promises, even when the situation looks impossible. We declare that this is not the end of the story for this marriage. We declare that restoration is coming, that this husband will return, and that this family will be made whole again.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name that brings salvation, healing, and deliverance. Amen.
