We hear your cry for complete deliverance and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have victory and access to the Father.
We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and by which we can approach the throne of grace. Your desire is biblical, for the Word tells us the very purpose for which Christ came, He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8. And on the cross He did just that, having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it, Colossians 2:15.
We also understand your burden about the accusations of the enemy. Scripture calls him the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, Revelation 12:10. Yet we take comfort that his accusations have no legal standing against those who are in Christ, for Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us, Romans 8:33-34. When Satan accuses you, our Advocate Jesus silences him with His own blood.
We want to gently encourage you in how God carries out this victory in our daily lives. While Jesus has completely defeated Satan at the cross, the Word shows us that Satan is still allowed to roam as our adversary until the final judgment when he will be cast into the lake of fire forever, Revelation 20:10. Until then he prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, 1 Peter 5:8. Therefore God has not called us to live in fear, but to actively resist him in Christ’s authority, for the promise is Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. We do not fight in our own strength, but we Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11, knowing that for though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:3-4. Jesus Himself has given us authority, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, Luke 10:19, when we walk in obedience, in repentance, in the Word, and in prayer.
So we pray with you now together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the holy and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that through His death and resurrection the works of the devil have been destroyed and his power broken. We ask in Jesus’ name that You would silence the mouth of the accuser over our dear one, and forbid any accusation of Satan to stand, for we are covered by the blood of the Lamb. We pray that You would halt and render powerless every plan, every direct or indirect work, every influence and connection of the enemy, past, present and future, concerning this life. We ask that You cause the enemy to flee as we submit ourselves fully to You. Bind the work of the evil one and make him unable to carry out his schemes, and remove his works completely from this life. Let Your Holy Spirit fill every place where the enemy has sought to oppress, and let Your peace, truth and holiness reign. Help our dear one to walk daily in the armor of God, in the Word, in prayer, and in obedience, so that no foothold is given to the devil. We trust not in our own words, but in the finished victory of Jesus Christ, who will ultimately put an end to the devil forever. We ask all this in the victorious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily. Stay in His Word, confess any sin quickly, pray without ceasing, and fellowship with other believers who will stand with you. Submit every thought to Christ, and when the enemy whispers accusations, answer him with Scripture and with the truth that you are justified and interceded for by Jesus Himself. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4.
