We join with you in this deep cry for complete deliverance and victory in Jesus Christ, and we stand with you seeking the will of God together in Jesus' name. Your heart longs for the total end of the enemy's work in your life from the past to the future, and that desire aligns with the truth that Jesus came to bring complete victory.
The scripture declares that the Son of God was revealed for this very purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8, and that through death he has brought to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, Hebrews 2:14. Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it, Colossians 2:15. We also know that the accuser who accuses us day and night before our God has been cast down, and they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, Revelation 12:10-11. This is the complete and final victory Christ has secured.
We want to encourage you with the full counsel of scripture about how that victory is applied in our lives now and in the age to come. The complete and final silencing and binding of Satan forever where he can deceive no more is a future fulfillment that God will accomplish at the appointed time, when the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, Revelation 20:10, and when the angel will seize the dragon, the old serpent which is the devil and Satan, and bind him, Revelation 20:2. Until that day, we are called to live in the victory Christ has already won by submitting to God, resisting the enemy, and standing firm. Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, 1 Peter 5:8-9. We are given authority in Christ, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, Luke 10:19, but that authority is exercised as we put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11, and as we remain in obedience, holiness, and the Word, closing any door to his influence whether direct, indirect, or through any connection.
We also rejoice that you have prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is power in that name alone. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son, John 14:13. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved and delivered.
We pray with you now.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace together and we thank You that Jesus has already triumphed over Satan and all his works at the cross. We ask in Jesus' name that You render powerless every work, plan, scheme, and voice of the devil and Satan concerning our dear one, whether direct, indirect, or through any influence whatsoever. Silence the mouth of the accuser, halt every evil plan, and let every chain be broken by the blood of the Lamb. Lord, we ask that You remove and redeem every effect of the enemy's work from the past, cleanse and cover it with the blood of Jesus, and guard the present and the future by Your Holy Spirit. Help us to submit fully to You, to resist the devil so he must flee, and to stand clothed in Your armor with truth, righteousness, the preparation of the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, and fill us with Your peace and assurance that nothing shall be able to separate us from Your love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 8:38-39. We ask that You make us steadfast, watchful, and rooted in Your Word, that we may walk in freedom and in Your will all the days of our lives. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily through prayer, reading the scriptures, and walking in obedience and repentance, for when we walk in the light as He is in the light, the blood of Jesus cleanses us and the enemy has no foothold. Trust that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you, and that though the battle continues for a little while, the victory is already secured and the final end of all evil is certain in Christ.
