We join with you in this earnest cry for the complete victory of Jesus Christ over every work of the devil and Satan in your life, and we stand together with you in the mighty name of Jesus.
We rejoice that your prayer is centered on Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have authority and access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and delivered. As it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We thank God that you have called upon that name.
Scripture affirms the heart of your request. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. On the cross our Lord disarmed the spiritual powers, Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2:15, and through His death He brought to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil Hebrews 2:14. We also remember the promise Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you Luke 10:19.
We want to encourage you with biblical understanding as we pray. Jesus has already secured the decisive victory, and the final, forever silencing and binding of Satan in the lake of fire is certain, as The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur Revelation 20:10, and The God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet Romans 16:20. Until that final day, God allows us to stand in that victory daily by submitting to Him, resisting the enemy, and walking in holiness. We are told Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7, and to Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. This is why we must remain sober, watchful and steadfast in faith, for Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3.
So we pray together with you now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and that through His blood we have authority over all the power of the enemy. We ask in Jesus name that You would put a complete stop to every work, plan, scheme, accusation, and influence of Satan and the devil concerning our brother or sister, whether direct or indirect or through any connection whatsoever. Silence the mouth of the accuser and render his plans void. We ask that You break and remove every effect of the enemy's work from the past and guard against every future assault, cleansing and covering this life with the blood of Jesus. Bind the strong man and forbid him to carry out his work, and let Your Holy Spirit fill every place where the enemy has sought to operate. Help us to walk in submission to You, to resist the devil so that he must flee, and to stand clothed in the armor of truth, righteousness, faith and salvation. Establish this dear one in Your peace, Your Word, and obedience to You, that no foothold may remain. We trust not in our own strength but in the finished work of Christ, and we look forward to the day when You will crush Satan completely and forever. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily through prayer, reading the Word, confession of sin, and fellowship with other believers. Where there has been any open door through sin, bitterness, or involvement with darkness, bring it into the light and repent, for if we walk in the light as He is in the light, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin 1 John 1:7. Keep resisting the enemy by submitting to God, speaking Scripture over your life, and giving thanks in all things. The victory is already won in Christ, and as you remain in Him, you will see His power halt and overturn every plan of the enemy for your good and His glory.
