We join with you in this prayer and stand in agreement in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and authority over the enemy.

We share your heart's cry to see the works of the devil completely destroyed and his plans brought to nothing, and we rejoice that Scripture assures us this is the very reason Christ came. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. We also take comfort that having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2:15, and that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil Hebrews 2:14.

We understand your desire for Satan to be bound and silenced completely, and we affirm that Jesus has already won the decisive victory at the cross and the resurrection, and that the final and complete binding is assured when the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur Revelation 20:10. Until that day, God in His sovereignty still allows the enemy limited activity as a defeated foe, for we are told to be sober and self-controlled, because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. For this reason we are called not to live in fear but to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7, and to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. We have confidence that He has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy Luke 10:19, and that the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down Revelation 12:10 because of the blood of the Lamb.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that Jesus has disarmed and defeated Satan at the cross and that His victory is complete and eternal. We ask in Jesus' name that You rebuke Satan and every evil influence, silence the mouth of the accuser against us, and halt every direct and indirect plan, scheme, and work of the devil that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We ask that You render the enemy powerless to carry out his purposes in our lives, our families, and all that concerns us, and that You establish Your will and Your kingdom. We submit ourselves to You, Lord, and we resist the devil in Jesus' name, trusting that he must flee. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, help us to walk in obedience, to dwell in Your Word, to pray without ceasing, and to stand firm in the armor You have provided, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil, and let the peace of Christ guard our hearts and minds. We trust not in our own strength but in the finished work of Jesus, who lives and reigns forever. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how deeply you want Jesus to have the final word over every work of the enemy in your life. Thank you for bringing this honestly to God. We are standing with you in that desire for His peace and protection to be real and steady.

Wanting a clean break from fear and spiritual opposition makes sense. We believe Jesus is stronger than any influence of the evil one, and we also learn to walk with Him day by day, turning to Him quickly when fear or troubling thoughts press in and resting in His presence through simple, faithful habits.

One thing that often helps is not carrying this prayer alone. If you have a pastor or a couple of trusted believers you can share this with regularly, invite them to pray with you in person and check in. Knowing others are with you can bring a lot of steadiness.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. We ask You to guard their heart and mind in Christ, to quiet fear, to give wisdom and peace, and to help them know Your nearness each day. Lead them in Your will and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer that Jesus Christ would put a complete end to the works of the devil and silence his mouth and halt all his plans is heard and answered in the very gospel itself, for our Lord has already given the deathblow to the enemy.

Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does He acts from good reasons, and He has invented a way of deliverance which no man would have thought of if God had not thought of it. The voice has come from the excellent Glory, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. That ransom is the finished work of His well beloved Son, and how greatly does the Father rejoice over it. God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil, saved from evil company, for God has said it, Deliver him from going down to the Pit.

You ask that Satan be bound and rendered unable to carry out his work, whether direct or indirect or by any influence whatsoever. Hear what the Scripture declares, He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Oh what a mercy this is, that poor creatures such as we are should escape from that master spirit Diabolus, the prince of the power of the air. To escape from Satan himself, oh let it be sung in Heaven. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law but under grace.

Satan may have thought that he had triumphed when Christ was crucified, but that death upon the Cross was the deathblow to the devil's usurpation. The Seed of the woman shall bruise the serpent's head forever. As the result of Christ's death Satan's power is broken and he shall no longer go forth to rule among the nations. When Jesus Christ the Head of the Church was victorious over the foe, every member of His mystical Body, even the most uncomely, was virtually a conqueror in the conquering Head. So we may shout the victory, for we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

Therefore I join my prayer with yours before the throne of grace. O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou who hast been lifted up from the earth, put to a full end all the works of the devil in this life. Silence Thou the accusing and tempting mouth of Satan, and halt every plan and device of the evil one, whether it be open or secret or wrought through any connection or influence. Bind Thou the strong man by Thy stronger arm, and keep this soul under the fence of Thine omnipotent overruling providence. Let no trial or temptation be apart from Thy permission, and let every affliction be seen as Thy fatherly chastening, for Thou hast not given Thine own over unto death but Thou thinkest upon them still. Grant that this one may not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator.

Take good cheer, for Christ has overcome the world. No screen is set around the godly to keep them from all suffering in this life, but the victory is sure because it results wholly from Christ's own work and not our own. Trust Him who has found the ransom, rest in His finished victory, and you shall find that though you may be in darkness sometimes, it shall not have power over you to enslave you.

Your prayer for Christ to put an end to every work of the devil, to silence his mouth and to halt all his plans has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

Scripture teaches that the victory already belongs to Christ, and that the God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly. This is both a promise and a prayer. The enemy is not idle and his devices are crafty, but we are not left without help. God has armed us so that we need not be ignorant of those devices and need not be overcome by them, if we remain vigilant.

So we pray with you that our Lord Jesus Christ, who has triumphed over death and sin, would by His power restrain the adversary, bring to nothing every direct and indirect work and influence of the evil one, and guard you from his snares. We ask that He would silence every accusation and deception, frustrate every plan formed against you, and keep you fenced about with His armor, so that you may stand unconquered and firm in faith.

Continue to fortify yourself on every side through prayer, through the Scriptures, through a pure life and steadfast trust in Christ. For vigilance and faith are the means by which God enables us to resist, and to see the enemy bruised under our feet by His grace.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, and may He who loves mankind grant you peace, protection, and confidence in His complete victory, now and until that day when every evil work is ended forever. In the name of Jesus, amen.
