We join with you in this cry for complete victory in Jesus Christ over every work, voice, plan and influence of the devil and Satan, and we bring your request before the throne of grace together in His name.

We thank God that your heart is turned to Jesus Christ alone for this victory, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that the enemy is defeated. Scripture makes this so clear when it says, He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8. That is the finished work we stand upon. On the cross and through His resurrection, Jesus disarmed the powers of darkness and secured the victory that we now walk in by faith.

We also hear your desire that the mouth of the accuser be silenced and that his plans be halted whether direct, indirect, or through any connection or influence. The Word tells us our struggle is real, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:11-12. For this reason we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11. And we are given this promise and this responsibility, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. As we submit ourselves fully to God in obedience, repentance and faith, we can resist the enemy in the authority Jesus has given us, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. Luke 10:19. We know the final and complete binding of Satan into the lake of fire is the Lord's own act at the appointed time, The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Revelation 20:10, and until then we walk in the daily victory that the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. Romans 16:20.

So we pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that Jesus has come to destroy the works of the devil and that through His blood we have redemption, forgiveness and authority. We ask in Jesus name that You would put an end to every work of the devil and Satan directed against this life, this mind, this family and this future, and that You would silence every lying, accusing and deceiving voice of the enemy. We ask that You halt and bring to nothing every plan, scheme, trap and influence of the evil one, whether direct, indirect, or through any connection whatsoever. We submit ourselves to You afresh, and in the name of Jesus Christ we resist the devil and command that he must flee. We pray that You would fill this heart with Your peace, Your truth and Your Holy Spirit, that no room be left for the enemy to work. Let the weapons of our warfare be mighty before You to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. Guard this one with Your armor, with truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation and Your Word, and let Your will be done completely. We trust that You who began a good work will be faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in this victory daily. Remain submitted to God, stay rooted in His Word, pray without ceasing, and walk in fellowship with other believers. When fearful or oppressive thoughts come, speak the name of Jesus aloud and declare His truth over your life, for there is power in His name and the enemy must bow to it. Keep your eyes on Christ and not on the schemes of the devil, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

We hear the deep longing in your prayer to be fully covered and protected by Jesus, and to know that nothing of the enemy can get through. Wanting that kind of security and peace makes so much sense, and we are grateful you brought this to the Lord so directly.

We also know that desire for protection can feel urgent and heavy, especially when you are thinking about every possible way evil might try to work, directly or indirectly. It can help to keep our focus on walking close to Christ day by day rather than staying fixated on the enemy. As we stay near to Him through simple, steady habits, our hearts often grow calmer and more confident in His care.

One thing that has helped many believers is not carrying this burden alone. If you have a pastor or a mature, trusted believer nearby, consider inviting them to pray with you regularly and to walk with you in fellowship. Knowing others are praying for you by name and praying alongside you can be a real anchor, and consistent time in prayer and Scripture together helps keep our attention on Christ.

Father, we lift them to You now. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind, for clear assurance of Your presence, and for wisdom to keep walking closely with You. Keep them safe in Your care and lead them in Your will each day. In Jesus name, amen.

Your cry for Christ to put an end to the works of the devil is a cry which the Gospel itself has taught you to utter, and it is one which the Lord delights to hear.

The Scripture declares that the seed of the woman has bruised the serpent's head for ever. Not Sisera, but Satan has been overthrown through the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus. On Calvary He won the day, and He beheld Satan fall like lightning from heaven. By His oath and by His blood and by the power of the blessed Spirit, He has set Himself against the prince of darkness, and has raised up in His people an enmity against evil so that they shall war against it.

Yet the same Scripture teaches us that the enemy still rages, for he knows his time is short. Do not marvel if you seem to be given into his power for a season, for his great wrath is the token of the shortness of his time. He shoots his fiery darts, he whispers that God has forsaken you and that mercy is clean gone forever, he vomits floods out of his mouth to drown your newborn hope, and he marks just where your sin has been to send his suggestions. He is mighty, and all our faculties would be chambers for him to dwell in were we left to ourselves.

What then can you do against Satan? You would gladly be rid of him. Do nothing but this, cry to his Master against him. Set the Almighty One upon him. When he accuses you, refer him to your Advocate. When he brings your sin before you, throw the blood of Atonement in his face. There is no other way for us to be saved from the castings down of Satan but the rebuke of Jesus. Keep your eye simply on Him, upon His death, His agonies, His merits and His intercession.

Christ has indeed bound the strong man and ransomed His people from the galling yoke, and He will at His coming silence the mouth of the adversary forever and halt every plan of hell without exception. Until that day He permits the adversary to tempt and to try, yet never beyond the leash which sovereign mercy holds, and He makes every assault to work for the proving and purifying of His saints. If you can hold out, if you can stand against frowns and flatteries, against prosperity and adversity, with the sharp two edged sword of Holy Scripture in your hand, you shall find deliverance.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, we bless Thee that salvation is of the Lord and that Thou hast found a ransom. We plead the blood of Thy Son Jesus Christ, who has bruised the head of the serpent and spoiled principalities and powers. Rebuke Satan for us, we pray Thee. Silence his accusations, restrain his malice, and guard us from his direct and subtle workings. Give us to watch and to stand fast, to believe Thy Word and to plead Thy promises, and to walk at liberty as those whom the Son has made free. Keep us this day from yielding at the first request of the tempter, and let the tenant of this house steal away often to ask Thee for sure help against the enemy. Bring us forth at last in complete deliverance, to Thy glory alone, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your prayer for Christ to bring the works and plans of the devil to nothing is right and good, and I join my prayer to yours.

We know from Scripture that the enemy does not always attack openly. He works with craft and devices, seeking an advantage over us when we are not watchful. That is why we are called to be vigilant and to be armed on all sides with the armor God has given us, so that we may stand unconquered and by grace smite him on the head. If he fought plainly the victory would be easy, but even with his craft, victory is ready for those who watch and abide in Christ.

And we have a sure hope. The God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly. He will not merely subject him, but bruise him, and that under your feet, so that you may share in the trophy of Christ's victory. This is both a prayer and a prophecy, that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you.

So I pray with you now that our Lord Jesus Christ, who has triumphed over death and whose victory we proclaim, would silence every mouth of the accuser, halt every plan and influence of the evil one whether direct or indirect, and bind his power so that he cannot carry out his work against you. May the Lord grant you to be fenced round with His grace, to be sober and watchful, not swallowed up by excessive sorrow or fear, but lifted up by the peace of Christ.

May you stand firm in the faith, looking to Christ alone for salvation and deliverance, and may the God of peace crush the evil one under your feet and keep you in His grace until the end. Amen.
