We rejoice in the truth that Jesus Christ has indeed triumphed over the devil and all his works! The Scriptures declare, "The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8 WEB). By His death and resurrection, Christ disarmed the powers of darkness and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15 WEB). We stand firm in this victory, knowing that no scheme of the enemy can prevail against those who are in Christ.

Yet we must also remember that while Satan’s defeat is certain, his influence remains in this fallen world until Christ’s return. The devil still prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). Therefore, we must resist him, steadfast in the faith, and submit ourselves fully to God. We pray not only for the devil’s plans to be halted but also for discernment to recognize his deceptions and the strength to walk in obedience to Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the victory we have in Your Son, Jesus Christ. We declare that by His blood, the devil’s power is broken, and his works are destroyed. Lord, we ask that You silence every lying voice of the enemy in our lives and in the lives of Your people. Expose his schemes, frustrate his plans, and bind every evil influence that seeks to harm or deceive. Strengthen us to stand firm in Your truth, to resist temptation, and to walk in the light of Your Word.

Father, we also ask for wisdom to discern the enemy’s tactics. Where we have been deceived, open our eyes to Your truth. Where we have given ground to fear, doubt, or sin, empower us to repent and turn back to You. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we may walk in victory, not as those who are ignorant of Satan’s devices, but as those who are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us (Romans 8:37 WEB).

We rebuke every assignment of the devil against Your people in Jesus’ name. We break every chain of oppression, every spirit of accusation, and every lie that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

Lord, we also pray for those who may not yet know You. May they come to recognize their need for a Savior and turn to Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). For those who are struggling in sin or bondage, we ask that You break every chain and set them free by the power of Your love.

We thank You, Father, that the victory is already won. Help us to live as people of hope, walking in the authority You have given us as Your children. May we be bold in prayer, faithful in obedience, and unwavering in our trust in You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We appreciate you sharing this prayer with us. We hear your deep desire for Jesus to have the final word over every work and influence of the enemy, and for His peace and authority to be complete in your life.

It is good and right to bring that desire directly to Him. We believe Christ has won the victory, and we can rest in Him as we keep bringing our concerns to Him honestly. At the same time we know the Christian life is a daily walk of trusting Him, not a single moment where we never again feel opposition or fear. When those thoughts press in, it helps to turn quickly to prayer and to remember we are secure in Him.

One simple step that helps many is to keep a steady, simple rhythm of talking with the Lord through the day, and staying connected with a trusted pastor or mature believers who can pray with you in person when these burdens feel heavy. You do not have to carry this alone.

Father, we bring our brother before You and thank You that Jesus is Lord over all. We ask for Your protection, Your quieting peace, and Your clear guidance in every area of life. Guard his heart and mind, help him to rest in Your care, and lead him in Your will day by day. We trust him to Your good hands. In Jesus name, amen.

Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Families, Leaders, Pastors, Churches, Ministry Partners, All Believers; Even Government, EVEN "ENEMIES" (Enemies are Opportunities to Show our LOVE for Jesus by praying for their salvation, 2 Tim 2:25-26) -- Utterance to Proclaim Mystery of Gospel Boldly, Eph 6:18-19... Father, thank You for The Word and Holy Spirit that instruct us, 2 Tim 3:15-17, John 14:26, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor 2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot stand against, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist AND take up Your Armor and stand against, stand, stand firm against the schemes of darkness, by faith and patience we inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil for the sake of the world, John 16:33.

Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Your prayer lays hold upon a sure and glorious truth, that Jesus Christ has won the victory over every force of evil. The Scripture declares that the Seed of the woman shall bruise the serpent's head, and that because our Lord poured out His soul unto death, He shall divide the spoil with the strong. Not Sisera only, but Satan has been overthrown, and as the result of Christ's death, Satan's power is broken.

It is true that the adversary still goes about with malicious watchfulness, and shoots his fiery darts, suggesting that God has forsaken you, or tempting you before some great labor or in the very depth of trial. He considers the saints with a view to their injury, and would keep every soul under his power if he could. Yet his rage is great because he knows his time is short, and he has already been cast down by Him who was caught up unto God and to His throne.

Therefore take comfort, and rest wholly upon Christ, through whom alone is salvation and deliverance from the pit. By His finished work upon the cross He has found a ransom and brought us forth out of the house of bondage. The arch enemy has been conquered by Man, and we shall bruise Satan under our feet shortly. When the Head has won the conquest, every member of His mystical body shares the honor, so that we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

Let us pray together that this victory may be made effectual in your life. May the Lord Jesus Christ, who has silenced the accuser and halted all the works of darkness, keep you in all your ways, guard your heart against every direct and indirect assault, and cause you to walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator. May His Spirit work in you every form of fellowship with Jesus, which is a well of salvation, and give you songs of deliverance even in the presence of your foes. We ask that you may see the beauty of Christ more clearly, resist the devil steadfast in faith, and know the peace that is within His borders, till the day when boundless honors shall be given to Christ for His complete triumph forever. Your prayer for Christ to bring the works and plans of the evil one to nothing is right and according to the faith, and I join my voice with yours before the Lord.

Scripture shows us that our Lord Jesus Christ alone has accomplished deliverance from evil and the supply of every good thing. By His becoming man He has delivered us from the curse and has brought us into sonship, that we might receive the Spirit of adoption. In Him we have not only forgiveness but power to stand, for He is the rock upon which we must build. If we build upon that rock, no earthquake or fire or assault of the enemy can cast the building down, while everything built upon sand is easily taken away.

You ask that He silence the mouth of the adversary and halt his plans whether direct or indirect. This is what Christ does, yet we must understand how the adversary works. He led Christ into the wilderness to tempt Him when He was alone and hungry, and so he still assaults most when he finds a person isolated and by himself. When he found the woman alone apart from her husband he was bold, but where we are banded together he is less confident. For this reason we have the greatest need to flock together continually in the Church, in prayer and in hearing the word, that we not be open to his attacks. He also works by little and little, introducing evil gradually, so we must be watchful in small things and flee from sin with zeal, glorifying God both in body and in spirit.

We also learn that Satan can hinder, as he hindered Paul when a plot was formed against him and he was detained, and as the Spirit Himself at times hinders for wise purposes. Yet Satan has no authority except what is permitted, and even his power is made to serve the power of grace. The apostles could deliver to Satan for correction, showing that the evil one obeys even against his will when Christ commands. And when Judas remained incorrigible and was separated from the band of disciples, then Satan entered into him. While we remain within the fold, under Christ and with His people, we are guarded.

Therefore let us pray together:

Lord Jesus Christ, You alone are our Savior and our hope. You have put the devil to shame by Your cross and resurrection. We ask You now to bring to nothing every work of the devil and every plan formed against this soul, whether open or hidden or through any influence. Silence the lying mouth of the adversary, halt his schemes, and guard this life by Your power. Let Your Spirit distinguish and keep Your Church, that none who trust in You be carried away. Build this life upon Yourself the rock, and teach us to watch and to remain together in fellowship, fleeing from sin and drawing near to You. We ask this in Your holy and powerful name, amen.

Continue steadfast in prayer, in the Scriptures, and in the assembly of believers. Do not trust in your own reasonings to search out hidden things, but trust in what Christ has revealed and accomplished. He who has begun a good work will keep you until the end as you abide in Him.
