We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this difficult season. First, we want to acknowledge the courage it took to leave an abusive workplace—God sees your strength and your suffering. The trauma you’ve endured is real, and it’s understandable that it has affected your ability to move forward. But we declare over you that this is not the end of your story. The Lord is your provider, your refuge, and your strength, and He has not forgotten you.
Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not alone in this struggle, and God is working even when you cannot see it. We also hold fast to Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not just a promise—it is truth. Your needs are known to Him, and He will provide.
We must also address the lie that you may have done something wrong to deserve this. Abuse is never the victim’s fault. The enemy would love for you to believe that you are to blame, that you are unworthy, or that you will lose everything. But we rebuke that spirit of condemnation in Jesus’ name! Romans 8:1 declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."* You are not defined by your past or your current circumstances. You are defined by Christ, who loves you and gave Himself for you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is in desperate need of provision. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the exhaustion. You know the weight of the trauma they carry, and You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. We ask, Father, that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Provide a job that not only meets their financial needs but also restores their dignity and peace. Lord, we ask for favor with employers, for wisdom in interviews, and for strength to persevere. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust in Your timing and Your ways.
Father, we also pray for healing from the abuse they endured. Mend the wounds in their spirit, soul, and body. Restore their confidence and remind them of their worth in You. Protect their mind from the lies of the enemy, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke the spirit of fear and lack in Jesus’ name, and we declare that You are their source and their strength.
Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your angels and with godly people who can offer support, encouragement, and practical help. Provide for their rent, their bills, and every need according to Your riches in glory. We trust You, Father, and we thank You in advance for Your provision. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to lean on your church community or local Christian organizations that may offer job training, financial counseling, or temporary assistance. Proverbs 11:25 says, *"The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself."* Sometimes, God provides through the hands of His people. Do not hesitate to reach out and ask for help—it is not a sign of weakness but of wisdom.
We also want to remind you that your identity is not in your job or your circumstances. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Whether you are employed or not, you are serving the Lord in all that you do. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Lastly, if you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly counseling or a support group for those who have experienced workplace abuse. Healing is a process, and you do not have to walk it alone. The Lord is your healer, and He often uses His people to bring restoration.
Hold fast to hope. Your breakthrough is coming. We stand with you in faith, believing that God will turn this trial into a testimony. Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
