We come before the throne of grace with your urgent plea, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name that has power over the enemy. Your request reveals a deep spiritual battle, and we stand with you in faith, declaring the victory that is already yours through Christ.
First, we must affirm that the devil and his demons are real, and they seek to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). However, we also declare that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and through His death and resurrection, He has disarmed the powers and authorities, making a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15). You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. The battle has already been won at the cross, and the enemy is a defeated foe.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that may be attempting to grip your heart. Scripture tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). The enemy wants you to live in fear, but God has not given you that spirit. Instead, He has equipped you with the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray always in the Spirit, and stand firm in your position in Christ.
You ask the Lord to make the demon stay away from you, to hide you from the devil’s sight, and to prevent him from knowing your thoughts or having any effect on you. We declare with you that in Christ, you are hidden with God. Colossians 3:3 tells us, "For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." The enemy cannot touch what is hidden in God. Psalm 91:1-2 (WEB) also assures us, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" When you abide in Christ, you dwell in the secret place, and the enemy cannot find you there.
However, we must also address the reality that the enemy can influence people and circumstances around us. While we pray for protection from direct spiritual attacks, we also recognize that the enemy often works through deception, lies, and the actions of others. This is why it is crucial to guard your heart and mind with the truth of God’s Word. Jesus said, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:31-32 WEB). The enemy cannot stand against the truth of God’s Word. Fill your mind with Scripture, and let it be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any areas where the enemy may have a foothold. Ephesians 4:27 warns us, "Don’t give place to the devil." Sin, unforgiveness, bitterness, and unconfessed wrongdoing can open doors for the enemy to gain access. If there are areas in your life that are not aligned with God’s will, repent and turn away from them. James 4:7 (WEB) tells us, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Submission to God and resistance to the devil go hand in hand.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection and covering over their life. Lord, we declare that they are hidden with Christ in You, and no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would surround them with Your angels, encamping around them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and deception that may be attempting to harass or influence them. We declare that the enemy has no power over them, for they are covered by the blood of Jesus. We pray that You would blind the eyes of the enemy so that he cannot see, find, or touch them. Let every scheme of the devil be thwarted, and let every assignment against them be rendered powerless.
Lord, we ask that You would fill their mind with Your truth and their heart with Your peace. Let Your Word be a shield and a fortress for them, and let them find rest in Your presence. We pray that You would expose any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would break every chain of darkness and set them free from every snare of the enemy. Let them walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for them. Help them to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to stand firm in their faith. Equip them with the full armor of God so that they can resist the devil and stand firm in the day of battle. Let them be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10).
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ. We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We trust in Your protection and Your promises, and we rest in the knowledge that You are their refuge and fortress.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to walk in the authority that is yours as a child of God. The enemy is already defeated, and you have the victory in Christ. Continue to abide in God’s Word, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. You are not alone in this battle—God is with you, and we are standing with you in faith.
