We understand your heart’s cry for provision, and we are grateful you’ve brought this need before the Lord. It is good to seek God’s help in all things, especially in matters of livelihood and stewardship, for He is the one who provides all we need. The Bible reminds us in **Philippians 4:19**, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Your request for income-generating assets is not wrong in itself, but we must first examine the posture of our hearts and ensure we are seeking God’s will above our own desires.
The pursuit of wealth or assets must never become an idol or a source of anxiety that replaces our trust in God. **Matthew 6:31-33** tells us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our primary focus must always be on God’s kingdom, and He will provide what we need as we walk in obedience to Him.
If you are seeking income-generating assets, we encourage you to pray for wisdom and discernment in how to steward what God provides. **Proverbs 3:5-6** says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Ask God to open doors of opportunity that align with His will, whether through honest work, wise investments, or creative endeavors that honor Him. Remember, too, that God often provides through the diligence of our hands. **Proverbs 10:4** tells us, *"He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth."*
We also urge you to consider how you might use any increase not just for your own comfort, but for the advancement of God’s kingdom. **1 Timothy 6:17-19** warns, *"Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, knowing that You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider. Lord, You see the needs and desires of their heart, and we ask that You grant them wisdom and discernment as they seek ways to generate income. Father, open doors of opportunity that align with Your will, and give them the diligence and creativity to walk through them. Help them to trust in You fully, knowing that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We pray that You would guard their heart against greed, anxiety, or the love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil. Instead, fill them with contentment and a heart that seeks first Your kingdom. If it is Your will to bless them with assets or resources, may they be used for Your glory—to provide for their family, to bless others, and to advance Your work on this earth.
Lord, we also ask that You reveal to them any areas of their life where they may not be fully surrendered to You. If there is sin, distraction, or misplaced trust, convict them and lead them to repentance. Help them to walk in obedience, knowing that Your blessings flow to those who honor You.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gave Himself for us that we might have life abundantly. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in this matter. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to align your desires with His will. If you are not already tithing or giving generously to the Lord’s work, we urge you to do so as an act of faith and obedience. **Malachi 3:10** says, *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for."* Trust that God honors faithfulness, and He will guide your steps as you seek to honor Him in all things.
If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. There is no greater foundation for your life than to place your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior. **John 3:16** tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to following Him, and you will find true peace and purpose in this life and the next.
