Need agreement

We hear your cry and the desperation in your request and we want to lift you up before the Lord together. We understand that financial pressure can feel overwhelming and make it seem like there is only one way out, but we cannot agree with you in prayer to win money through gambling or the lottery, because that would not align with God's Word and His will for you.

The desire to gain wealth quickly through chance is not how God teaches us to provide for our needs. Scripture warns us about this. 1 Timothy 6:10 says For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Proverbs 13:11 says Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by labor will increase. Proverbs 21:5 says The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty. Gambling is not diligent labor or faithful stewardship, it is hasty and presumes upon chance, and it often leads to deeper sorrow and bondage rather than provision.

We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share with you that it is only by His name that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to believe in Him, that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. This is the greatest need any of us has, and God longs to provide for your soul first.

God promises to provide for His children, but He does so through faithful means and not through gambling. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Hebrews 13:5 says Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says If anyone will not work, neither let him eat. The Lord honors honest work, diligence, budgeting, and seeking help from the body of Christ when in need.

So together we pray for you in Jesus name. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who is feeling desperate for money and sees no other way. Lord, You know the financial burden and the anxiety that weighs on this heart. We ask You to forgive us for seeking gain in ways that do not honor You and to forgive any love of money or desire for quick riches. We pray that You would reveal Jesus to this precious person as Savior and Provider, and that they would trust in You alone. Provide for every true need according to Your riches in glory, open doors for honest work and opportunity, give wisdom to be a faithful steward of what is already in hand, and grant contentment and peace while You work. Deliver from the temptation to gamble and from the deception that chance is the only hope. Lead this one to godly counsel, to help within the local church, and to a path of diligence that honors You. We ask that Your will be done and that You would be glorified in this situation. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to turn away from any plan to gamble or buy lottery tickets and instead seek the Lord earnestly. Pray and ask Him to show you the next step of honest provision, whether that is work, assistance, learning to budget, or asking for help from a Bible believing church family. God is faithful and He has not left you without hope. He is your hope, and He will make a way as you seek Him first and walk in obedience.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We hear how much pressure you are under right now, and how strongly it feels like winning is the only way forward for money. Thank you for being honest about that urgency.

We care about you and the weight this financial strain is putting on you. In our experience, looking to a win to solve the need often adds more stress and loss on top of what is already heavy, and it can pull attention away from steadier ways God can provide and guide. You deserve support that looks at the whole picture with you, not just the immediate fix.

One practical step that has helped many people in a tight spot is to sit down soon with one trusted person who can look at the finances with you in a clear, calm way - a pastor, a financial counselor at a local church or community agency, or another wise and steady person you trust. Bringing the bills, income, and options into the open with someone else can make it easier to see next steps for work, assistance, or budgeting, and you do not have to carry the decisions alone.

We are praying for you.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the financial need and the worry that comes with it. Give wisdom for each decision, peace in the waiting, and open doors for honest provision and help. Surround him with people who will walk with him and show Your care. Lead him toward what is good and steady in Your will. Amen.

Your request has been heard, and the heaviness of your need is not overlooked by the Lord who knows our frame and our wants. To be pressed for money, and to feel as if there is no way of deliverance, is a sore trial, and we desire to bear your burden before the throne of grace with compassion and with truth.

For that reason we cannot join with you in asking God to bless a venture of gambling or to give direction about when to buy or to seek gain in that way. To do so would be to ask the Lord to lead into what He teaches us to pray against. Our Saviour has taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, and temptation in itself is a thing very dangerous. The Scriptures warn us plainly that the temptations of money, when men are drawn into racing, gambling and all manner of iniquities, are snares to the soul. The man who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it is not walking in the way of faith. God had one Son without sin, but He never had a son without temptation, and the utmost consecration will not keep a man safe if he willingly puts himself in the place of temptation.

What you need, and what we will earnestly seek for you, is not a turn of chance, but the grace of contentment and the provision of a faithful Father. Contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and if we would have it, it must be cultivated. A man's contentment is in his mind, not in the extent of his possessions. Alexander with all the world at his feet cries for another world to conquer, while the believer may have peaceful contentment in his breast while tribulation lasts as well as when it has closed, because his faith rests in the providence of God. Wealth gotten hastily or by hazard so often brings leanness with it, and leaves the heart more empty than before.

Let us pray for you in this way instead, that God would do you real and lasting good.

We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation, would draw near to you and give you faith to trust Him not only for the soul but for the body. We pray that He would keep you from the mischief of temptation, that you may not stain your garments nor slip nor slide, but stand fast. We pray that He would give you a contented heart instructed to be abased and to abound, and that He would open to you honest and healthful means of provision, wisdom to steward what you have, strength to labour as He enables, and friends and brethren to bear with you and counsel you in practical need. If the pressure is great, we encourage you to make your need known to a faithful local church and to those who can help you with work, counsel and stewardship, and to seek the Lord daily for daily bread.

Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and trust His promise that needful things shall be added. May the Lord give you not what chance might seem to promise, but what His wise and loving hand knows to be best for your soul and your life.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your need and the seriousness with which you share it have been heard, and I have prayed for you. I understand the pressure you feel when money is scarce and it seems there is no other way forward.

Because I care for you I cannot agree in prayer that God would help you win money by chance, or tell you when to buy a ticket to try to get it. That would be asking God to bless a way that Scripture does not teach us to trust. The Scriptures call us not to put God to the test or to demand proof of His care by a sudden gain, but to trust Him whether He answers quickly or calls us to wait. As it has been taught, we are not to judge God's providence by present things alone, or become desponding because we do not see results here and now, but to wait for His provision and look for His help in the life He has given us.

God's providence truly does uphold all things and watches over every person, even the lowly and overlooked. Yet His care is shown not through chance but through His steady provision, and He gives the increase as we walk in faithful and honest ways. To seek money through gambling is to set our hope on uncertainty rather than on the living God, and it often hardens the heart and brings greater burden instead of relief.

So I will pray with you, but for what God promises to bless. I will pray that the Lord in His mercy would meet your real needs, give you wisdom for work and stewardship, open doors for honest provision, help you find support in the church and community, and guard your heart from anxiety and the love of money which Scripture warns can lead us away from what is good. I will pray that you would know His peace as you trust Him day by day, and that you would cast your cares on Christ who alone is our salvation and who cares for you deeply.

If you are able, please share more about your situation with a trusted pastor or mature believer near you so they can walk with you practically, help you make a plan for work and expenses, and pray with you face to face. God is not distant from your struggle, and He calls us to seek Him first, to labor faithfully, and to trust that He knows what you need.

May the Lord give you strength to trust His providence, contentment in what He provides today, and hope as you wait on Him.

Your request shows how heavy the financial pressure feels right now, and how strongly you feel that winning money is the only way out. I hear the seriousness in your words and I want to respond with care and honesty.

God is able to provide for you, and Scripture shows that He intentionally leaves room to work in our lives in ways we do not expect. The law even made a place for a person with an incurable disease to be declared clean if God chose to heal him. That teaches us not to put God in a box and not to limit Him to one method that we have decided is the only answer. He is not bound to work through chance or gambling, and we cannot ask Him to bless that path.

The Bible speaks often about financial distress. One prophet rebuked the people because they were earning money but never having enough, and he traced it to the fact that they had not put God first. He called them to bring the first fruits of their increase to the Lord and to honor Him with what they have. In another place we see believers who were themselves very poor and going through severe trials, yet they had joy and were generous to help others who were suffering. And we see an example of working with our own hands to provide for our needs so that we are not dependent in a wrong way and so that no one can think the faith is just a way to make money.

That does not mean your need is not real. It is real, and God invites you to bring it to Him. But His provision is not found in trying to win money. It is found in trusting Him, doing honest work as you are able, stewarding what you have faithfully, seeking wise counsel, and letting the community of believers help bear burdens as God provides. There are often practical steps like seeking work, help with budgeting, and asking for assistance from a local church family that honors God more than staking everything on a gamble.

Above all, God has made only one provision for our deepest need, which is forgiveness and peace with Him, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. The Holy Spirit bears witness to that truth in our hearts. Every other sin can be forgiven, but to refuse God's provision in Christ leaves no other hope. If you have not yet trusted Him fully for salvation, that is the first and most important step, to believe on Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins and to receive the righteousness He gives by faith.

I will not agree in prayer for you to win money through gambling, because to do so would be to ask God to bless something He has not called us to pursue. I will pray for you that God will give you wisdom, open doors for honest provision, help you to put Him first with what you have, lift the weight of anxiety, and draw you closer to Jesus who is our true provision. If you are part of a local church, please share your situation with a pastor there so they can pray with you personally and help you find practical support.

May the Lord meet you in this difficult time, provide for your needs according to His wisdom, and give you peace as you trust in Christ.
