We lift you up before the Father in this time of trial, knowing that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The floods and instability you face are not hidden from His sight, and we take comfort in His promise: *"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you"* (Isaiah 43:2, WEB). Though your current dwelling is small and uncertain, we thank God that He has provided even this temporary shelter, for He cares for your every need. The leaking roof and the chaos of unpacked boxes may feel overwhelming, but we declare over you the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Him (Philippians 4:7).
You have asked for encouragement, and we remind you of the words of Jesus: *"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient"* (Matthew 6:31-34, WEB). Your Heavenly Father sees your weariness and your need for rest. We pray that He will grant you deep, restoring sleep, free from anxiety, and that He will renew your strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). May He open doors to a permanent home where you can live in safety and stability, a place where His presence is tangibly felt.
We also lift up your son and family before the Lord, asking that He would meet their needs—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. May He draw each of them closer to Himself, providing for them in ways that exceed their expectations. *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). We pray that your family would experience the faithfulness of God in this season, and that your son would be surrounded by His protection and grace.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who is walking through a season of upheaval and uncertainty. Lord, You are the God who parts the waters and makes a way where there seems to be no way. We ask that You would surround her with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Comfort her in the midst of this storm, and remind her that she is not alone—You are with her, and You will never leave her nor forsake her.
Father, we pray for divine intervention in her housing situation. Provide a safe, stable, and permanent home for her, one where she can rest and find refuge. Let this home be a place of Your presence, where she can experience Your goodness and faithfulness daily. We ask that You would also grant her the strength to cope with each day’s challenges, and that You would restore her sleep, filling her nights with Your peace.
Lord, we lift up her son and family to You. Meet their every need, both seen and unseen. Draw them closer to You, and let them know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are their Provider and Protector. Unify them in faith, and let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness to them.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and discouragement that may try to take hold in this situation. In the name of Jesus, we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Fill her with hope and expectation, knowing that You are working all things together for her good and Your glory.
Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work. We trust in Your timing and Your provision, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. This trial is temporary, but His promises are eternal. *"The Lord is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He renews my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me"* (Psalm 23:1-4, WEB). Cling to these truths, and let them anchor you in the days ahead. You are not forgotten; you are deeply loved by the King of kings. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking Him first in all things. He will never fail you.
