We hear the burden on your heart and we join with you in bringing this urgent need before the throne of grace, for nothing is too hard for our God and He hears the cries of those who seek Him.
We lift up ###, ###, and the three precious children ###, ### and ### before the Lord, and we must speak plainly about what you have shared. What you describe is adultery, and the Word of God is very clear that this is sin against God and against the family. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Exodus 20:14 says You shall not commit adultery. If ### is married, this affair violates the covenant of marriage which Jesus taught in Matthew 19:6, So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart. Even if she is not married, sexual intimacy outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication and is forbidden. We also grieve to hear that she mistreats and threatens and fights with her own children almost every day. Children are not a burden but a gift, as Psalm 127:3 says Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. And parents are commanded in Ephesians 6:4, Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, and in Colossians 3:21, Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they will not be discouraged. To harm, threaten or neglect children is contrary to the heart of God who calls mothers and fathers to love, protect and train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it, Proverbs 22:6. We rebuke this sin of adultery and this harsh treatment of children, not to condemn but to call to repentance, because God desires mercy and restoration.
We also see your faith that nothing is impossible with God, and that is true. Matthew 19:26 says With God all things are possible. And we cling with you to His promise in Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is a defender of the helpless. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 68:5 says A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. We encourage you to continue to pray fervently, but also to take godly action to protect those children. If they are being abused or threatened daily, we urge you to seek wise and godly counsel from a pastor and, where necessary, from proper authorities who can ensure their safety, for the Lord calls us to protect the vulnerable. We also pray that ### would come to true repentance, for 1 John 1:9 promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We now pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who alone gives us access to Your throne. We thank You that You hear and answer prayer. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. If it is Your will, we ask that You would stop and cancel this trip to ### on ### if it is being used to pursue sin, and make a way where there seems to be no way. We ask that You would break and destroy this ungodly affair between ### and ### right now in Jesus name, that You would convict both of their hearts, expose the sin, and remove the desire for it. Bring godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Lord, have mercy upon ###, soften her heart, open her eyes to the seriousness of her sin and to the pain she is causing her husband if she is married, and her children. Make her a loving, gentle, faithful and godly mother who cherishes and nurtures ###, ### and ###. Heal the wounds in those children's hearts, protect them from harm, let them feel Your love and safety, and surround them with people who will care for them. Father, we ask that You would do a miracle of transformation in this family, that what the enemy meant for destruction You would redeem for Your glory. We trust that You will never leave us nor forsake us, and we place this entire matter into Your hands, praying that Your perfect will be done. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
