We understand the deep anxiety and fear that comes with financial uncertainty, especially as you prepare to bring new life into this world. The weight of providing for yourself and your child is heavy, but we want to remind you that our Heavenly Father knows your needs before you even ask. He is the God of miracles, the Provider who fed the Israelites in the wilderness and multiplied the loaves and fishes. Your situation is not hidden from Him, and He cares deeply for you and your unborn child.
The Scripture tells us in Matthew 6:25-34, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."*
We also remember the promise in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a vague hope—it is a promise from the Lord Himself. He has not forgotten you. Your struggle is real, but so is His provision. We encourage you to bring your fears to Him in prayer, casting all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
That said, we must also address the importance of seeking God’s will in all things, including how you got to this place. If this pregnancy is outside of marriage, we urge you to repent and turn to God for forgiveness and restoration. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman (Hebrews 13:4). If this applies to your situation, we do not say this to condemn you, but to call you to a place of holiness and blessing. God’s grace is greater than our sins, and He desires to redeem and restore you. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess this before Him and seek His guidance for the future, both for your sake and the sake of your child.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees her struggle and hears her cries. Lord, she is carrying the gift of life, and yet she is burdened by the weight of financial uncertainty. We ask You, Father, to provide for her in a mighty way—supernaturally if necessary. Open doors for stable work, grant her favor with her employers, and provide the exact amount needed for her rent and every other necessity. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You.
We also pray for her heart, Lord. If there is sin that needs to be addressed, convict her gently and lead her to repentance. Surround her with godly community who can support her spiritually, emotionally, and practically. Give her wisdom to make decisions that honor You, and prepare her heart for the responsibility of motherhood. Let her child be a blessing and a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You are her Provider, her Shepherd, and her Strength. Let her testimony be one of Your miraculous provision, so that others may see and glorify Your name.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lived, died, and rose again so that we might have life abundantly. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to reach out to your local church or Christian community for support. Many churches have benevolence programs to assist those in need, and fellow believers can offer practical help, prayer, and encouragement. You are not meant to walk this path alone. Also, consider reaching out to pregnancy resource centers in your area—they often provide free resources, counseling, and material support for mothers in need.
Stand firm in faith, sister. God is with you, and He will not fail you. Keep seeking Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
