Disciple of Prayer
I need a home desperately. The place I am living at is getting dangerous to live in. The low income housing in my area is not even accepting applications for someone like me. I am nearly ### and have a small dog and single and disabled. HUD has a 2-5 year waiting list. I need prayer so bad. I need somewhere to live asap and don't know what I am going to do.

We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the Lord with heavy hearts. Your situation is dire, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God sees your struggle and will provide according to His riches in glory. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not forgotten, and we trust that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is in desperate need of safe and stable housing. Lord, You are our Provider, and we ask that You open doors that no man can shut. You know the dangers they face, the limitations they encounter, and the fear that grips their heart. We ask that You intervene in this situation, Lord. Provide a home that is safe, affordable, and accessible for their needs. We pray that You would move in the hearts of those who manage low-income housing, that they would make exceptions or find creative solutions to accommodate this urgent need. We declare that the waiting lists would be shortened, and that a place would become available immediately.

We also pray for wisdom and guidance for them as they navigate this difficult season. Give them clarity on where to turn, who to contact, and what steps to take next. Surround them with people who can offer practical help and support. Lord, we ask that You would protect them from despair and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them daily that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We want to gently encourage you to reach out to local churches, Christian organizations, and community resources that may have emergency housing programs or connections to assist those in need. Sometimes, God works through His people to meet the needs of others. Do not hesitate to ask for help, it is not a sign of weakness but an opportunity for God to move through others on your behalf.

We also want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your circumstances. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life. Even in this hardship, He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of fear or hopelessness that may be trying to take hold of your heart. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your defender and your provider. We declare that this trial will not break you but will instead draw you closer to the Lord and reveal His faithfulness in ways you have never seen before.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and believe that You will provide a home for this dear one. Give them strength for each day, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We can only imagine how heavy this feels, facing an unsafe living situation while every door seems locked tight. It’s exhausting and, honestly, frightening. We’re so sorry you’re carrying this alone, and we’re standing with you in prayer.

In the meantime, a few practical paths might help cut through that long wait. Dialing 211 (United Way) can connect you directly with emergency housing resources in your area, including options specifically for older or disabled adults. Your local Area Agency on Aging is another strong starting point; they often know about smaller, less-publicized low-income senior apartments and can sometimes help speed things up. If you believe you’ve been turned away for reasons tied to disability, a fair housing center or legal aid office can advise you, many offer free help and know how to challenge those barriers. Don’t overlook church communities, either. Many congregations keep a quiet fund or network for just this sort of crisis and will welcome both you and your small dog. (If the dog provides emotional support, a note from a doctor or counselor can sometimes open additional pet-friendly options. It’s worth asking.)

We know it doesn’t feel like it right now, but we’ve seen people in impossibly tight corners discover strength they didn’t know they had and a God who walked them step by step into a safe place. Your fear is real, but you are not invisible or forgotten.

Jesus, you see this need, our sister’s exhaustion, the danger she faces, and the narrow time she has. We ask for a sudden opening, a clear path, and the right helper to appear. Give her steadiness and courage in the waiting, and let her soon sleep in a place of peace. In your name we ask it. Amen.

This is a great opportunity for Lord Yeshua and Fatger God to guide you into a new place with a lot if help from him. Just remember to pray daily and make time for the Lord daily with prayer and bible. Certainly God listens to the prayer of the desperate and doesn't forsake the prayer of the needy. May the Lord your God watch over you in everything you do. That we might believe in him and pray and keep hope in him. Hope in his son Yeshua. Thank you God for letting him find a place to go and live your will be done. Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

Your need is desperate, and you feel it deeply, the walls of your present shelter closing in, every earthly door shut fast against you. You cry for a home, and the waiting lists stretch before you like a wilderness. Yet hear this: the keen sense of your extremity is no ill thing, for mercy delights to visit misery. Mercy is always at home where there is a sinner confessing need, and your very desperation is the cry that reaches Heaven’s ear. You are the very sort of person Christ came to save, not the self-sufficient, but those whose case is hopeless in themselves.

What is your truest need? Not mere shelter for the body, but a living, loving, lasting union with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you have that, you have all that you need for time and for eternity. Without it, every earthly comfort is a ruin. Lay hold on Christ, and you lay hold on eternal life. The blood of Christ is a full atonement for sin, do you need anything more than that for your salvation? He who lived and died and rose again stands ready to receive you this very hour. Your disabled frame, your poverty, your little dog, your single estate, none of these bars the way. Your Master was poor; He had nowhere to lay His head. He does not despise the poorest of the poor who come to Him, though they feel unfit for decent company. He is the foundation stone; come to Him as a stone comes home.

You say you do not know what you are going to do. But He knows. The Lord is your Shepherd; you shall not want. Not only have you no need now that He cannot meet, but you never shall need while He lives. Do not think it is too soon for Christ to welcome you, your need of Him began with your birth, and His mercy has never wearied of you. Turn your heart to Him. Give yourself to Jesus, most desired, and let heart for heart be the gift. Find salvation in Him, and you will find a refuge that no earthly landlord can provide. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, and for His love’s sake, Amen.
