Lord, you have been so faithful to my family through so many difficult times in the past ten years. You know our struggles and the sacrifices we have made to get to this point. I praise you for getting through the tough times of nursing school and I just kneel before you now and ask that you protect me from the testing anxiety and panic problems that has affected my results in past testing. You know my heart Lord, you know my desires, and you have already gone before me on this, please give me that peace that passes understanding and the calm to make it through this exam and pass. I desire with all my heart to be able to put these nursing books away and spend more time in your Word and serving my family. In Jesus Name I pray.

God of kindness and mercy, just as Jesus noticed the needs of those who asked for his help, or were brought to you by others, so I now come to pray for this person.

Their situation is known to you, even to the very depths of their need, even the suffering they cannot speak of. And just as my heart is aching for them, so Yours too is touched by their situation.

I do not believe You have sent this suffering, but that You stand alongside us now, and share our pain, know our vulnerability. Your heart, too, is broken by all that prevents us from living full lives.

In my imagination I hold this person before You now. You know what I would ask for them, and understand even when words fail me. I ask You to reach out and touch them now and bring them to wellness and peace.

This is my prayer, made out of love and longing. Sharing this person’s suffering with you, somehow makes a difference that I do not fully understand.
