🙏 NATIONAL & WORLD LEADERS NEED OUR PRAYERS (now), 1 Tim 2:1-2, New Testament Urges Prayer for ALL in Authority, 1 Tim 2:1-4, 🇺🇸, 🇪🇺 Asia 🇨🇳

We join with you in these prayers and give thanks that you have brought them before the Lord with such care for His Word.

You have done well to begin where the apostle begins, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. This is good and pleasing to God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. We thank God for the authorities He has ordained and we ask Him to grant to presidents, governors, judges, and all who lead in every nation a guard over their mouths, the tongue of the wise, and counsel that is godly and not worldly. The rulers of this world pass away and their wisdom comes to nothing, but the wisdom of God is hidden and eternal, and it is this wisdom that leaders most need. We pray that they would do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God, and that their decisions would promote righteousness, protect the innocent, restrain evil, and allow the gospel to go forward freely.

We also agree with you for unity that is true and godly, not a unity built on flattery or compromise, but on truth and reverence for God. When brethren dwell together in unity it is a blessing, and the prayer of the brethren can do great things when we are watchful and awake. Even the apostles asked for prayer, and the church prayed earnestly for Peter. How much more do we need to remain alert, humble, and dependent, knowing that pride defiles and brings down even the strong, while humility opens the heart to receive grace.

For our own regions and cities we pray as you have asked, that we would seek the welfare of the place where God has set us, that the Holy Spirit would convict neighbors, students, teachers, workers, parents, pastors, law enforcement and all who live near us of sin, righteousness and judgment, and draw them to the Son. We ask for a wall of fire around our homes and churches, for protection from evil influences, and for open doors to speak the Word with boldness.

For daily provision we ask our Father for bread for today, for contentment with godliness, for the fruit of the Spirit to be evident among us, love, joy and peace, and for healing where there has been loss and affliction. He is able to restore and to give joy in place of shame.

And we remember the persecuted church and those in chains, asking for their relief, courage and release where it is His will, and for the peace of Jerusalem and mercy upon all the descendants of Abraham according to His promises. May the Lord comfort those who suffer for His name and keep them faithful to the end.

We will continue to pray that the house of God would indeed be a house of prayer for all nations, that the nations would be given as an inheritance to Christ as we ask of the Father, and that His kingdom would come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The Lord be with you as you walk in His ways and keep His commands, for He has promised to be with those who follow Him to the end. May He keep you steadfast, watchful in prayer, and full of hope in Jesus Christ, in whose name we have access to the Father and through whom alone we are saved. Amen.
