We join together in prayer and intercession for our national and world leaders, as the Bible instructs us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we can be saved. We thank You for the leaders You have placed in authority over us. We pray for wisdom, discernment, and integrity for our leaders, from the President and Vice President to all cabinet members and local authorities.
Father, we ask that You would grant them godly counsel and protect them from harmful advice. Surround them with wise and righteous advisors who fear You and follow Your precepts. We pray that their leadership promotes unity and righteousness, and we ask that You help them to seek peace and pursue righteousness and justice for all.
Guide them by Your Spirit and the standard of Jesus in Your Word, so that in the example of Jesus to the Apostles Your leaders will have no bitterness or rivalry, but instead Your Love and Your holiness to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You.
We pray for angelic protection over our leaders and their families, as seen in Psalm 91:10-12, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your tent. For he will give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."
We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and we call on You to graciously grant heavenly intelligence for our leaders, as seen in 2 Kings 6:12., "One of his servants said, 'No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.'"
Father, we ask that You would turn the hearts of our leaders to You and grant them the courage to stand up for what is right and true. We pray for the eradication of evil in elections and for the silencing of false prophets and news, as seen in Titus 1:11 "whose mouths must be stopped; men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain's sake."
Lord, we humble ourselves before You, seeking Your face and turning from our wicked ways, that You may hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land, as promised in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
We pray for the people of God who are called by His name and humble ourselves to pray and seek His face as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. We pray for wisdom in the worldly leaders and protection of our leaders and civilians worldwide, for the eradication of evil in elections, Isaiah 33:15, and for the silencing of false prophets and news, Titus 1:11. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ.
We ask this all in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Let us also remember the words of Romans 13:1-2, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and they who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."
Continue to pray fervently for our leaders, knowing that our prayers and intercessions are powerful and effective.
NATIONAL & WORLD LEADERS NEED OUR PRAYERS, 1 Tim 2:1-2, The New Testament Urges Prayer for ALL in Authority... "I exhort first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession & givings of thanks, be made for all people: for kings and all in authority; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." Firstly, we thank God for the World's leaders and authorities He has placed over our lives, Rom 13:1-2, as this is an International Prayer Site. We pray for intelligence, character and protection of the President, Vice President, and all cabinet members, as well as godly wisdom and guidance for them. We ask that God would set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, and grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us. We pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and that their leadership would promote unity and righteousness and not have any bitterness or rivalry. May leaders "do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God," Micah 6:8. We ask you give angels charge over our leaders, Ps 91:10-12.
