We join together in prayer and petition for our national and world leaders, as the Scriptures urge us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, We encourage, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all people; for kings and all those in authority, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
Let us pray fervently for the salvation of world leaders and authorities, as Romans 13:1-2 reminds us that there is no authority except that which is from God, and those which exist are ordained by God. We bring before God the President, Vice President, and all Cabinet Members, asking for His wisdom, guidance, and protection over them. We pray that God would set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips. We ask that He would grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us, The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright, but the mouth of fools blurts out folly.
We ask God to surround our leaders with godly counsel and promote unity and righteousness through their leadership. May their actions reflect the wisdom of Micah 6:8, He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
We agree in asking for godly unity among political parties, both nationally and internationally, that they would work together for the good of all nations, as Psalm 133 reminds us, How good and pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity! We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and ask for angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12.
May we, as the people of God, humble ourselves to pray and seek His face, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
We pray for wisdom in worldly leaders and protection for Christians worldwide. We ask for the eradication of evil in and around elections, as Isaiah 33:15 tells us, Those who walk righteously, and speak blamelessly... He who stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil: he will dwell on high. We pray for the silencing of false prophets and news, as Titus 1:11 warns us, ...teaching things they ought not, for the sake of filthy lucre.
We look forward to The Day of The Lord, where righteousness and peace through public officials will be fully and finally realized through the Return of The Messiah, Jesus The Lord's True Anointed One. We pray for all this in His Name, the Name of Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. See Acts 4:12.
We rebuke any notion that we can approach God through any other means or name, as Jesus himself said, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. See John 14:6. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. See Hebrews 2:18 and 4:16.
Let us pray.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your wisdom, guidance, and protection over our leaders. Surround them with godly counsel and promote unity and righteousness through their leadership. We pray for the salvation of world leaders and authorities, and for the eradication of evil in and around elections. We look forward to The Day of The Lord, where righteousness and peace will be fully realized. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
