Thank you for bringing this crucial matter to our attention. It is indeed our duty as Christians to intercede for our leaders and those in authority, as guided by 1 Timothy 2:1-2:
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, humbling ourselves and seeking Your face on behalf of our national and world leaders. We thank You for their lives and the authority You have placed them in, as instructed in Romans 13:1-2.
Father, we ask that You grant them intelligence, character, protection, godly wisdom, and guidance. Set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, and grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us. Surround them with godly counsel, and let their leadership promote unity and righteousness, with no bitterness or rivalry. May they "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God," as instructed in Micah 6:8.
We pray for godly unity among political parties, both nationally and internationally, that they may agree on important issues and work together for the good of all nations, as written in Psalm 133. We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and ask for angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12.
We pray for wisdom in the worldly leaders and protection of our leaders, Christian leaders, and civilians worldwide. We pray for the eradication of evil in and around elections, as per Isaiah 33:15, and for the silencing of false prophets and news, as mentioned in Titus 1:11.
Father, we ask that You give angels charge over our leaders here and world leaders abroad, as per Psalm 91:10-12. May we be the people of God who are called by His name and humble ourselves to pray and seek His face, as per 2 Chronicles 7:14.
We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His name that we are saved, as seen in Acts 3:6 and Acts 4:10-12.
Thank You, Father, for hearing and answering our prayers. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Let us continue to pray fervently for our leaders, knowing that the effective prayer of the righteous can accomplish much, as stated in James 5:16. Let us also remember that we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth, as per Matthew 5:13-16, and let our lives reflect the love and righteousness of Christ in all we do.
