National Week of Repentance, Today 9/24th to Sun 10/1 -- In the wake of National Disasters, Eclipses, Blood Moons, Racial Division, Shooting Sprees, Abortion, Gay Marriage Teaching, Sexual Immorality, A War on Terrorism against ISIS, A 20 Trillion Dollar Economic Deficit And Being on the Verge of War with North Korea over NUCLEAR TESTING... America Needs Repentance, Humility and Healing...









"You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?" (Luke 12:56).

"But He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘The weather will be fair, for the sky is red;’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but not the signs of the times!" (Matt 16:2-3).

Heavenly Father, There are signs on the earth, signs in the heavens, the sun's been turned to darkness, the moon's been turned to blood, nation has risen against nation and kingdom against kingdom, there are wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in various places -- ALL AT THE SAME TIME... I ask You for grace upon people to find these links, rend our hearts and not our garments, and lay ahold of Your mercy, forgiveness and "Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you" (Acts 3:19-20), in Jesus' Name.

Father, we confess our sins and the sins of our nation -- forgive us for removing The Lord's Prayer and Bible Readings from public education in 1962 and 1963* -- that was the beginning of many problem and offensive to You. Forgive the Christians of that day for not making a big deal about it. Today we have our national sins of abortion and euthanasia which were strengthened by man (not by God) in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roe_v._Wade and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terri_Schiavo_case


From the removal of Prayer and Bible, the influx of drugs and sexual immorality in the 60s, increasing up to this current day, and the wickedness of abortion and euthanasia (stopping the heartbeat of primarily infants and elderly -- those we should most respect and care) we confess as our greatest sins against You.


We have had racial problems because of pride, prejudice and erroneous teachings while the church has tried to let government fix the problems with band-aides. Please forgive our lack of attention to Your Words and specifically The Ten Commandments. We confess our private sins privately, our public sins publicly. Forgive our sins and heal our land (2 Chron 7:14), in Jesus' Name.

In the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries, it was common practice for public schools to open with an oral prayer or Bible reading. {2}


A Turning Point: The "Regents' Prayer" and Engel v. Vitale


The media and popular culture often erroneously credit atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair with removing school prayer from US public schools, when the case against recitation of the Lord's Prayer in Baltimore schools was decided by the Supreme Court in 1963. A more significant case had reached the Supreme Court one year prior, suddenly changing the legal climate for school prayer in the US.[3]


In 1955, the New York Board of Regents developed a prayer recommended (but not required) for the school districts under its purview. The prayer was relatively short: "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence on Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers, and our country."[1][4] The board stated that the prayer would "combat juvenile delinquency and counter the spread of Communism."[4]


Seven years later, Steven I. Engel, a Jew, was upset to see his son’s hands clasped and his head bent in prayer. He told his son that this was “not the way we say prayers.” Engel, a founding member of the New York Civil Liberties Union, would bring action along with Daniel Lichtenstein, Monroe Lerner, Lenore Lyons, and Lawrence Roth, all parents of children in the Long Island, New York public school system, against Union Free School District No. 9 for its adoption and subsequent prescription of the so-called "Regent's prayer", arguing that it constituted the state-sponsored establishment of religion in violation of citizens’ First Amendment rights via the Fourteenth Amendment.[5]


Use of the Regent's prayer would be initially upheld in both New York State Court and in the New York Court of Appeals, prompting Engels to petition the US Supreme Court in the Engel v. Vitale case in 1962. With its 8–1 vote to make public recitation of the Regents' Prayer in public schools unlawful, the U.S. Supreme Court made its first-ever decision on prayer in public schools. It made its second in 1963—the Abington School District v. Schempp ruling, which made the corporate reading of the Bible and recitation of the Lord's Prayer unlawful in public schools.[3]


This was the country's government's formal declaration that it was rejecting the God of The Bible in favor of Humanism, and since then, all the heightening of sin and problems have been heightening, I will rest my case on the increase of crime and murder rates (especially since God counts abortion and euthanasia as murder) from that time to the present and the increase of our nation's debt to $20,000,000,000,000


Interest payments on the debt are estimated to total $276.2 billion this fiscal year.

The nation’s debt is now bigger than its gross domestic product.
