Our heavenly Father, this day brings good things to my thoughts and bad ones. I am glad that we have a day set aside to recognize the power of prayer, to bring our problems to You as a nation. I am saddened though because it is almost like some have to reminded to pray to You on this one day. Lord, I pray that we all spend every day in prayer, and that we turn our nation back to what it once was. It was never perfect Father, and in reading history, it was probably never as faithful as we would like it to have been, but there was a time Lord when we were proud to call ourselves a christian nation. Lord, on this day may many see the truth, that You are God, that many have been sold lie and that You are willing to heal our nation if only we would come back to You and serve You. Father I ask that You would bless us as a people, and I also pray that as a people we would bless You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
