We understand that you are facing a difficult situation with your ex, who is harassing and abusing you and your daughter. We stand with you in prayer and seek God's intervention in this matter.
Firstly, we commend you for bringing this situation to God in Jesus' name, as the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
We must also remember that God hates divorce as mentioned in Malachi 2:16 WEB, and the destruction of a family. However, vengeance is God's as mentioned in Romans 12:19 WEB, "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongeth to me; I will recompense, saith the Lord." We can trust that God will deal with him justly and give you both the needed support.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister and her daughter who are suffering from harassment and abuse from her ex. We ask that if he has refused to take up his responsibilities that You would intervene and provide for them in miraculous ways. Any possible way that he could be held responsible it would be greatly appreciated. Father, we ask that You would protect them from his constant abuse and bring an end to this torment. We pray that Your justice would prevail and that he would be dealt with in a way that does not cause further harm to them. We ask for a permanent solution, You are just and want to protect your children.
We also pray for his heart, that he would come to know the love of Christ. We pray if he has not come to know you as his Savior, that you would convict his heart and he would come to know you as his Lord and Savior. We pray that he would be convicted of his sins and repent. Father, we ask for Your healing and restoration in their lives. We ask for Your peace and comfort to envelop them during this difficult time. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom as they navigate this situation. We ask that if there is a Christian man available that he would come alongside her and help her to raise her daughter and become one together, a married couple, as you have planned.
If there is anything that they can do legally to help stop his abuse, please give them the wisdom and ability to carry it through.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain strong in your faith and trust in God's justice. Remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as mentioned in Psalm 46:1 WEB. Continue to pray and seek God's will in this situation, and He will guide you and your daughter.
If there is any way that you may have contributed to this situation, there is a possibility that you need to seek his forgiveness. Please look inwardly and ask God if there is anything that you need to do to correct your own actions. The Bible says in Matthew 7:3 WEB, "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?" Although this may not be the case in this situation, we must always search our hearts first.
Lastly, we need to remember that God is in control. He will take care of the situation and provide for our sister and her daughter. He will work all things out for the good of those who love Him as mentioned in Romans 8:28 WEB. We trust Him, and we know that He will do what is best.
