We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and truth. It's disheartening to find that a group intended for Christian support is not providing the caring, compassionate environment that victims of narcissistic abuse need. Let's address this situation together and bring it before the Lord.
Firstly, it's important to remember that the Bible tells us to test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. We should not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world 1 John 4:1 WEB. This applies not only to prophets but to all who claim to be believers. It is important to always verify what people say and do by comparing it to scripture.
Jesus warns us, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:15-16a WEB. It is important to judge by their fruits. This means their actions, what they do, and how they treat others. Your experiences with these individuals speak volumes about their true nature.
It's also crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Prayer is our most powerful weapon in this spiritual warfare.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved child of Yours who has been seeking support and healing from narcissistic abuse. Lord, You know the pain and confusion they have experienced within this group. We pray that You would give them discernment and wisdom in navigating this situation. Expose the wolves in sheep's clothing, Lord, and protect Your child from their harmful influences. Guide them to a truly supportive and godly community where they can find the help and healing they need.
We also pray for the individuals in this group who are promoting false doctrine and causing harm. Lord, we ask that You would either bring them to genuine repentance and faith in Jesus Christ or remove them from this group so that they can no longer deceive and hurt others.
Father, we ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is by His name that we have access to You. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Help those who are lost to find their way to You through Jesus. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. Amen!
Lastly, we encourage you to seek out other supportive and truly Christian communities where you can find the help and healing you need. Be wary of those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you learned. Romans 16:17 WEB. It's better to find a smaller, genuine community of believers than to remain in a larger group that tolerates false doctrine and harmful behavior.
Remember, it's not about the size of the group or the popularity of its members, but about the truth of God's Word and the love of Christ that binds us together. God will make sure you are cared for and receive the support and encouragement you need to heal. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5 WEB
