Narcissism is a sin, plain and simple, but it is not an unpardonable sin. Psychology looks at this disorder as self-centered thinking and prescribes a complicated redirection of focus onto the opinions of others and to interpret criticisms more rationally. Though to empathize, and change their all-or-nothing notions a person has to admit they are narcissistic and there lies the problem. Narcissism is "never a narcissist's problem"! In a 12 Step program, one would be encouraged to change their "Stinkin Thinkin." God's word has a more positive solution, as we read in Matthew 7:12, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Lord free the people in our lives of not trusting YOU for our preservation so they can freely serve You and each other. We are hurting each other and this disorder that the Devil has laid on humanity is growing. Lord bring an end to this domination and free us in the name of Jesus Amen.
