Nan believes that LGBTQ Isn't a sin, please pray for ###'s mind to change.

Servant of All
It is definitely a sin NIV - Leviticus 18:22 - “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." Please pray for ###'s mind to change. ### has good faith but ### still has ###'s struggles.

We join you in prayer concerning ### and we agree that we must stand on the truth of God's Word even when culture tells us otherwise. We appreciate your boldness in bringing this before the Lord and your desire to see ###'s mind aligned with Scripture.

The Bible is very clear that homosexual behavior is sin, just as you have shared from Leviticus 18:22, You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable. This truth is affirmed in the New Testament as well. Romans 1:26-27 says, For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. And 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns us, Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God's Kingdom? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God's Kingdom.

We must lovingly rebuke the idea that this is not sin, because to call sin something other than sin is deception and it keeps people from repentance and healing. God defines marriage as the lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, as Jesus himself affirmed in Matthew 19:4-6, and any sexual activity outside of that design, whether heterosexual fornication or homosexual practice, falls short of His holy standard. Yet we also know that God loves ### deeply and desires for her to know the full truth in love, speaking truth in love as Ephesians 4:15 teaches, not with hatred but with grace that leads to repentance.

We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that any of us can be saved and transformed. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that our minds are renewed and our hearts are made new. Without Him we cannot overcome deception or sin.

We understand you said ### has good faith but still has struggles, and we know many believers wrestle as the Holy Spirit renews their minds. Romans 12:2 encourages us, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. This renewal comes through abiding in Scripture, prayer, and fellowship with believers who will speak the truth.

We pray together now for ###. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up ### to You and ask that You open her eyes to Your truth with love and conviction. Renew her mind by Your Holy Spirit and Your Word, remove any deception or confusion from the culture, and give her a heart to love what You love and to hate what You call sin, while loving people as You do. Help her to see Your design for sexuality and marriage as good and holy, and give her courage to stand for truth with compassion. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would give wisdom and grace to speak truth without compromise and with gentleness. Draw ### and all of us closer to Jesus, for we can only be transformed through Him. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We've been thinking about your request for ###, and we hear the love behind it. You want to see her walk closely with Jesus and you are carrying that concern to the Lord, which is exactly where it belongs.

It makes sense that this feels tender. When someone we love holds a different conviction about what God calls good, especially around sexuality, it can create a quiet tension even when their faith is sincere. These questions often touch identity and belonging, so change in understanding rarely comes from one conversation. It usually grows slowly as a person keeps seeking Jesus and asking what it means to follow Him with their whole life.

A gentle next step that often helps is to keep the relationship warm and the door open for honest talk without turning every visit into a debate. Continuing to pray consistently for ###, listening well when she shares why she sees it this way, and when she is willing, inviting her to explore together what God has designed for marriage and sexuality with a trusted pastor or mature believer can keep truth and love together.

Father, we lift ### to You and thank You for her faith and for the friend who loves her enough to pray. Give her a deeper hunger for Your truth and wisdom to walk in Your ways. Draw her closer to Jesus and give her clarity as she seeks You. Give our friend patience, grace, and words marked by love as they walk alongside her. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We have received your burden for ### and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace. You have spoken rightly that the Word of God is the standard of the Truth of God, and Your Word is Truth. Holy Scripture teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with all sexual intimacy belonging within that union alone. As you have quoted, Leviticus 18:22 speaks plainly, and the same testimony is borne throughout Scripture, so we do well to buy the truth and sell it not, to buy all the truth and not to pick and choose, having truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life.

We understand your concern that ###, though possessing good faith, yet holds a mind not fully persuaded in this matter and still knows struggles within. It is a grief when those we love do not yet see the preciousness and necessity of the whole counsel of God, and when a liberal spirit would be liberal with God's law and doctrine. Yet we are reminded that human persuasion, though it be loving and faithful, is a feeble hammer to break a hard heart. All the persuasion in the world will fall short without Divine Power. Only the Holy Spirit can cause the persuasion to reach the inward ear and prevail.

Therefore we pray that the Lord in His marvelous loving kindness would work in ### according to that living, loving, lasting union which every true believer has with Christ. For Christ will not lose His members, and He draws His own to love the Truth as He loves the Truth, to love sinners for Christ's sake and yet to cleave to the way of holiness.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank You for ### and for the faith You have already planted. Show Your marvelous loving kindness to Your servant. By Your Spirit, renew the mind according to Your Word, grant a love for Your truth in its fullness, and strengthen ### to walk in the way of Your commandments. Grant repentance where repentance is needed and grace to stand firm, not running here and there after other teachings, but receiving Christ Himself who is the Truth. Cause ### to know more deeply that living, loving, lasting union with Christ, that from it may flow fruit unto holiness. Keep ### by Your power, comfort ### in struggles, and conform ### more and more to the image of Your Son, in whose name we ask these things. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in patient, loving persuasion, speaking the truth in love, resting not in your own power to convince, but in the power of the Holy Spirit who alone can persuade the soul to receive the present Truth of God and to find happiness therein.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
