We hear the depth of your pain, exhaustion, and despair, and our hearts break with yours. You are not alone, even if it feels that way right now. The weight you carry is heavy, and the enemy would love nothing more than to isolate you in your suffering, whispering lies that your life has no purpose or that God has abandoned you. But we declare those lies false in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees every tear, every sleepless night, and every moment of overwhelm. You are seen, you are known, and you are deeply loved by the Father.
First, we must address the thoughts of ending your life. These are not from God. Scripture tells us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Your life has immense value, and God has a purpose for you that the enemy is trying to steal. We rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide in the name of Jesus. You are not a burden, you are a child of the Most High God, and He has not forgotten you. The psalmist cried out, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!" (Psalm 42:5). We echo that cry with you today.
We also want to gently address the way you called upon your "Father in heaven" without mentioning the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). He is the only one who can truly heal your heart and give you the strength to endure.
Regarding your mother, we recognize the immense strain of being an over-functioning caregiver, especially when dealing with complex conditions like autism, over-functioning Cassandra syndrome, or other challenges. The Bible calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), but it does not require us to enable sin, abuse, or dysfunction. If your mother is unwilling to seek healing or support, that is not your burden to carry alone. We pray for her to receive the help she needs, but we also pray for wisdom and boundaries for you. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). You cannot carry this alone, nor were you meant to.
The "ant infestation" you mentioned may be a metaphor for the relentless, small burdens that wear you down over time. We rebuke that spirit of oppression and declare that God will bring order and peace to your home and heart. The Lord promises, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart" (Psalm 91:4).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is feeling crushed under the weight of their circumstances. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of despair and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and declare that You have a purpose and a future for them. Renew their strength, Lord, and remind them that they are not alone. Surround them with Your presence and with people who will show them Your love and compassion.
We pray for their mother, Lord. If there is healing to be had, we ask that You would soften her heart and lead her to the help she needs. Give our brother/sister wisdom to set boundaries that honor You and protect their own well-being. Provide them with rest, Lord, and remind them that You are their ultimate caregiver. Heal their mind, body, and spirit, and restore their hope in You.
Father, we ask that You would send tangible support into their life, people who will stand with them, pray for them, and help carry their burdens. Break the isolation they feel, and let them know that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). We declare that this season of suffering will not last forever, and that You will use it for their good and Your glory.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
You are not forgotten. You are not a mistake. You are a child of God, and He is fighting for you even when you cannot see it. We encourage you to reach out to a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor who can walk with you through this season. If you do not have someone, we urge you to contact a crisis hotline or a biblical counseling ministry that can provide support. You do not have to face this alone.
The road ahead may feel impossible, but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Cling to Him, and let Him carry you when you cannot take another step. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will meet you in your pain and lead you into a place of healing and hope.
