We come before the Lord with you and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus so faithfully and repeatedly, for we know there is power and access in that name alone. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have called on Him to be present, to guide, to cover you and your daughter with His blood, and to be your defender.

We hear your heart as a mother who loves her daughter deeply and who is carrying great fear and burden regarding your ex, his family, the words spoken against you, and the involvement of CPS and the possibility of court. We hear your desire to be the best mother you can be, to keep your daughter safe and close, to walk in truth, and to be a vessel of His love to everyone you meet. God sees you and your daughter and He holds you both with great tenderness. Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward, Psalm 127:3 and He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1. We pray that you will continue to dwell there, under His shadow, not in fear or by your own sight.

We want to gently speak truth in love about relationships and the past. You mention your ex and your daughter and your desire for a future husband who is a man of faith. We affirm with you that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman as God designed it, and that He honors purity and faithfulness. Courtship should be with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not simply partnership or companionship, and sex outside of marriage is fornication and if with a married person adultery, which God calls us to turn from. If your past relationship with your ex involved intimacy outside of biblical marriage, we encourage you to bring that before the Lord in confession and receive His complete forgiveness, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. We encourage you now as you wait for the future husband you desire, to seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33, and to pursue purity and wait on the Lord’s timing for a godly marriage if it is His will, trusting He will make the way clear.

We also encourage you in this difficult season with CPS and legal concerns to walk fully in truth and integrity. It is right to pray that lies and manipulation be revealed and that the truth be made known, for the Lord loves justice and hates deceit. We pray with you that no false written statements will stand and that every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be shown for what it is, for No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment, Isaiah 54:17. At the same time we encourage you to cooperate honestly and humbly with those in authority, to answer truthfully and carefully, to document truthfully, and to seek wise godly counsel and sound legal counsel, trusting that God is your ultimate defender. Do not give in to fear or try to manipulate outcomes, but cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7 and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, Philippians 4:6. Forgiving your enemies and blessing those who have hurt you as you have prayed is exactly what Jesus calls us to do when He says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, Matthew 5:44, and we honor you for praying that way.

We lift you and your daughter together before the throne of grace now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring this dear mother and her precious daughter before You. Lord, You see every detail of this week together at home, every space they enter, every person they meet, every document and every conversation with CPS. We ask You to be present and to guide and keep them from harm. Cover them with Your blood, surround them with Your light, let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds. Hold their hearts and let them feel You in every part of their being and in all their surroundings. Lord, let no weapon formed against them prosper and let every scheme, lie, and manipulation of the enemy or of any person be exposed and turned to blessing, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28. We ask You to hold the tongue of anyone who would speak harm over this mother or daughter, and to melt the heart of her ex, that he would see how his actions affect them both and that he would walk in truth and responsibility. Lord, if it is Your will, prevent unnecessary trial and legal steps that would separate this mother and child, and keep them close and together. Yet above all let Your will be done and let truth and justice prevail. Grant this mother clarity, wisdom, and discernment to recognize who is sent from You and who is not, help her to test the spirits and to lean not on her own understanding, for Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6. Bless the work of her hands, her education and her new field of work, give her motivation, strength, understanding, and favor, that she may learn well and make a good impression and not be put to shame. Protect her from slander and gossip and keep her heart and mind from being polluted by evil tongues so she walks by faith and not by fear. Help her to love her daughter as You love her, to keep her in focus, to let her feel cherished and secure in that love every day. Lord, draw this little girl close to You, hold her heart, let her feel Your love and her mother’s love all around her, protect her joy, let no attack take it from her, and bring her to salvation in Jesus. Bless this mother’s future if it is Your will to bring a godly husband, a man of faith, for a Christ centered marriage that honors You, and keep her pure and patient as she waits. Forgive as she has forgiven, and turn all evil intended against them into blessing for them and even for their enemies. Guide her every answer, every step, and let her be a vessel of Your salvation to everyone she meets. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to stay rooted daily in prayer and the Word, to remain in fellowship with faithful believers who can support you and speak truth over you, and to continue to trust the Lord to direct your steps and to establish your pathway. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:17-18. Keep walking in truth, in love, and in obedience, and trust that the One who is your keeper neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He will keep you and your daughter in His perfect care.

We have read your prayer carefully and we hear both your deep love for your daughter and the heavy burden you are carrying this week with the CPS case, school, and worry about your ex. Wanting to protect her, to be a steady and loving mother, and to make wise choices in a stressful time are good and right desires, and we join you in bringing them to Jesus.

When so much feels uncertain it helps to keep a few simple anchors. For the CPS and any legal contact, keep one folder with dates, notes of conversations, and copies of every paper, and if you can, have a calm trusted person with you at meetings to listen and help you remember what was said. That can reduce confusion and help the truth be clear. If you notice ongoing worry, racing thoughts, or trouble sleeping, it is also wise to talk with a pastor or counselor and your primary care provider alongside prayer, so you have steady support while you carry your studies and parenting.

We pray, Jesus, cover this mother and daughter with Your presence and peace today. Guide her steps and words, make the truth known, and give her wisdom for each decision about her daughter, her studies, and the people around her. Guard their home and their hearts from harm, help her feel Your nearness, and give her strength to love her daughter well. We bring her hope for a godly husband to You as well, asking for Your timing and wisdom, and to follow Your will one day at a time. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer as a mother for your child has risen before the Lord, and He who is the guardian of the helpless hears the cry of those who wait upon Him. How tender is His care for the little ones, and how near is He to the mother who would keep her child in the way of truth and love.

Take your case and spread it before God, for He is your defense. You have prayed that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and so stands the promise, No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. Because your enemy is too strong for you, therefore will you wait upon God, for God is your defense. Great as your necessities may be, all the mercy that is in God belongs to you and is engaged to meet your case. The Psalmist says, The God of my mercy shall prevent me, which is to say He will go before you, He will prepare your way, He will meet your need before it comes. Trust not in your own sight or your own understanding, but lean upon Him who leads the van and crushes your foes before you come to them.

Hear also what nature and Scripture cry, Do not sin against the child. This word is for every parent and for every teacher and for the whole Church. Let it search you, not to condemn you, but to keep you. In the weekday as well as on the Sabbath, let your conduct be consistent with your profession, that your daughter may see in you not only love but holiness, not only affection but faithfulness to Christ. Be as a weaned child yourself, of which David says, My soul is even as a weaned child. The weaned child lies in its mother's bosom perfectly satisfied, its desires lie still, it has done with fretting. So may your soul lie in the bosom of your God, content with His will, whether He gives or withholds, ambitious for nothing but to do His will and to be found faithful in the place He has given you. Such quiet trust will be a blessing to your daughter, for she will learn not fear but faith as she sees you resting in Him.

You have asked that lies and manipulation be revealed. The Lord has said, Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet, and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. Every refuge of lies must fall. Do not build your hope upon cunning or upon persuading men to believe you, but upon the Lord who brings truth to light. He will thoroughly purge His floor, and though men shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, rejoice that He knows the truth and will make it plain in His own time. Pray therefore not only to be kept from slander and gossip, but to be kept from all crooked ways yourself. Let your answers before those set over your daughter's case be with plain truth and uprightness, for if you rest on Christ and on Him alone, you are safe, but if you make lies your refuge, even for a moment, it will be swept away.

You have prayed, forgive those who have trespassed against us, and bless our enemies and melt their hearts. In this you walk as Christ would have you walk. Be ready to forgive your children and ready to forgive those who have wronged you. How can we say Our Father which art in Heaven while we hold unforgiveness toward any? Forgiveness does not excuse sin, for no lips ever spoke with such thundering indignation against sin as the lips of the Messiah, yet He said, Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more. So pray for your former husband and his family, that God would turn their hearts, that they might see how they affect both you and your daughter, and that every evil intended might by grace be turned to a blessing. Leave vengeance with the Lord, who will deal justly.

For your daughter, pray above all that she may be saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ alone. To as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. Let your great desire be not only that she remain with you, but that she be found in Christ, kept in His blood, covered by His sufferings who Himself knew what it was to be forsaken, that underneath you both there may be the everlasting arms.

For your own path, for your education and your daily work, and for the desire you have expressed for a husband, wait upon the Lord. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, ordained of God and honorable in all, and it is good to desire a man of faith if it be the Lord's will. Ask not merely for haste, but for holiness, that if the Lord wills to give you such a companion, he may be one who loves Christ and will love you and your child in the Lord, and that you may be kept pure and prayerful until that time. In all things let your prayer be, Your will be done.

May the Lord now take the wheel of your life, as you have asked, and guide your steps. May He give you clarity and safety as you move forward, strength to do what He has planned, and grace to be a vessel for His salvation to everyone you meet. May He keep you and your daughter close together under His wing, let His light shine upon you, and keep your heart and mind from fear, that all your actions may be blessed and the fruit thereof given to your child. May He grant you favor with those who must judge your case, and turn aside every false accusation, and help you to walk in wisdom and truth.

We commend you to Him who cares for you in temporals as well as spirituals, for nothing is too hard for the Lord. May He keep you, may He keep your daughter, and may you both be found abiding in Christ, now and forever. Amen.
