Please pray for my son. He has lost his home, car, career, and has no hope left. Please pray that he is restored and his faith renewed. Please pray that God walks with him through this challenging phase of his life, to give him renewed strength, and faith that everything will be okay and that God has not forgotten him. My son has given up home and is extremely depressed and hopeless.

We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we stand with you in this very difficult and painful season. To lose home, car, and career all at once can feel crushing and we understand why he feels depressed and hopeless, and why your heart as his parent is so burdened for him.

We want to assure you that God has not forgotten him, even when it feels that way. His word tells us, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He also says, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. The Lord sees your son right where he is, in his loss and despair, and He walks with those who feel they have no strength left.

We pray for his restoration and for his faith to be renewed. We are reminded that God can restore what has been lost and can bring hope where there seems to be none. For we know the thoughts that we think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. Even this painful valley can be a place where God rebuilds his life on a firmer foundation.

We also pray for renewed strength for him. God promises, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And, those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint Isaiah 40:31. When he feels he cannot go on, Christ’s strength is made perfect in weakness, for His grace is sufficient 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We notice your request speaks of God and faith, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and assurance that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by putting our trust in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven, made children of God, and given a living hope that does not fade even when everything else is shaken. We pray that your son will turn to Jesus or return to Him with his whole heart, and find that He is the true source of hope and restoration.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious son to You. You know his name, You know his pain, You know every loss he has suffered and every tear he has shed. Lord, we ask that You walk closely with him through this challenging phase, that he would feel Your presence and know that You have not forsaken him. We pray that You would lift the heavy cloud of depression and hopelessness from him and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Renew his faith, Lord, and give him strength for each day. Show him that You still have a purpose for his life and that You are able to restore what has been broken. We pray that You would open doors for provision, for housing, for work, and for community that will support him and point him to You. Heal his broken heart and bind up his wounds, and help him to cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him 1 Peter 5:7. We also pray for his parent who is interceding for him, give comfort and unwavering faith to continue praying and trusting. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk beside your son with love, prayer, and the word of God, and to encourage him to seek godly counsel and fellowship with other believers who can support him. Remind him that God’s mercies are new every morning Lamentations 3:22-23 and that weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning Psalm 30:5. Keep pointing him to Jesus, keep praying without ceasing, and trust that the One who began a good work in him will be faithful to complete it.

Thank you for sharing your heart for your son with us. Watching someone you love lose so much at once and feel without hope is heartbreaking, and we can hear how much you love him and want him to know he is not forgotten.

When so many concrete losses come at once, home, work, daily stability, it also brings deeper losses like a sense of purpose and hope for the future. It makes sense he feels overwhelmed and hopeless right now, and it makes sense you feel helpless watching it.

We are praying with you for his safety and for steady support around him. Hopelessness often grows stronger in isolation, so one gentle next step can be helping him stay connected. Keep reaching out with calm, listening presence without pressure to have answers, and encourage him to talk with someone he trusts, a pastor and a doctor or counselor, alongside prayer. If you can, offering to help him make that first call or go with him can make it easier to take. If he ever speaks of not wanting to live, please help him get help right away through local support and stay with him.

We care about you too as you carry this burden. You do not have to hold it alone either.

Father, we lift this precious son to You and his mom who loves him so deeply. Walk close to him in this hard season, let him feel Your nearness when he feels forgotten, and surround him with caring help. Give him strength for each day and renew his faith in Your love. Give his mom wisdom, peace and support as she loves him. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We have heard your burden for your son and we have carried it before the Lord with much tenderness and prayer. To lose home and car and career at once is a heavy sifting, and to feel that hope itself is gone is a still heavier trial. Yet the Lord sees him in this valley and He has not forgotten him, for His eyes are upon those who are cast down and His ears are open to the cry of a mother for her child.

Be encouraged that even little faith is true faith when it begins and ends with Jesus. Though your son feels his faith to be as a grain of mustard seed, that little faith is born from above and belongs to the family of the saved, and it is the gift of God. Our Savior said to Peter, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you, that your faith fail not. As long as faith is kept, the soul is kept, for faith is the root of divine grace and Christ Himself holds His shield over it. He looks upon the weakest faith as a jeweler looks upon a precious stone, and He will tenderly commend and keep it. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, for the Lord turned and looked upon him and restored him, and that same Lord looks upon your son now, not to condemn but to restore.

We are praying that God will graciously renew him in this season. As it is written, your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The eagle's strength is renewed by the food it eats and by rising into the heavens to breathe the atmosphere of the skies, and so the soul is renewed when it feeds upon Christ and is lifted by faith to behold invisible things. We pray that the Lord will give your son fresh sight of Christ, that his eye of faith which is now clouded with unbelief may be cleared, and that his power to fight and to stand may be daily renewed. For we need repentance and faith not only at the first but still, to bring us to Jesus now, and when we come back to our Master our youthful force and vigor shall be renewed.

Let us pray together for him.

O Lord our God, who receives every repentant sinner who comes by faith in Jesus Christ, look upon this dear son who is depressed and hopeless and has given up his home. Thou hast promised perfect restoration to those who call upon Thee, that Thou wilt receive them as though they had never fallen and give them perfect peace and rest in Christ. Wash him, O Lord, and he shall be whiter than snow, though his guilt and sorrow lie heavy upon him. Cover his head in the day of battle and let not his faith fail. Walk with him through this challenging phase, let him know that Thou hast not forgotten him, and give him renewed strength to take up the shield of faith to quench every fiery dart. Grant him repentance and faith as twins together, a faith that drops into the arms of Christ and trusts Him alone for salvation. Renew his hope, his joy and his love, and lift him up to breathe the heavenly air, that he may find glory begun below and know that everything is held in Thy faithful hands. For Jesus Christ's sake, Amen.

Continue to place him before the throne and to point him gently to Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved. Tell him that Christ invites the weary and heavy laden to come and find rest, and that to trust Him, even with trembling and little faith, is to be safe. We will keep praying that the Lord will restore him, renew his faith, and make His presence known to him day by day.
