Jesus, bless me and my child today with love, happiness, joy, grace, productivity, prosperity, love, peace, safety and You being present to guide and keep us from harm. Jesus, bless myself and my child and all the spaces we enter today. Make it safe spaces, Jesus. Do not give anyone any reason to take my daughter from me, Jesus, bless the persons I meet and talk to so they believe me and keep me safe. Protect me and my daughter, Jesus, so my ex can not use anything against me. Let his and other peoples lies be revealed and also his/their manipulation, Jesus, let it serve to save me and my daughter. Let no weapon form against me and my daughter, Jesus. Do not let my ex, his family or anyone speak of me so it harms me or my daughter in any way, Jesus. Melt his heart, so he sees how he affects both me and my daughter, and that he doesn't take me to court, Jesus. Jesus, take the wheel and no matter what happens keep my daughter and me close and together, show me what to do so we never separate. Send me people to bless hers and my life, help me see who is sent from you and not, Jesus. Bless me with the right decisions and right pathway, Jesus. Forgive those who have trespassed against us, and for our trespasses, Jesus. Bless my enemies, melt their hearts, turn all actions to blessings for us all, Jesus. We hear how deeply you love your daughter and how much weight you are carrying right now with the CPS case, the fear around your ex, and wanting to keep your home safe and steady for her this week. It makes sense that your heart is on high alert. We are holding you both in prayer.

We admire that you want to be present for your daughter, to love her well, and to make wise, clear decisions even while under pressure. God sees that desire and He sees you trying to walk faithfully one day at a time with your studies and responsibilities too.

One thing that can help when fear is loud is to keep things simple and supported. If you have not already, consider keeping a brief, factual note of dates and conversations with your ex and with CPS, and bringing a trusted, calm person with you to any meetings or calls when you can, a pastor, advocate, or family support person. It can also help to ask for clear next steps in writing from CPS so you know exactly what is expected. You do not have to carry all the what-ifs alone.

Jesus, we lift this mother and her daughter to You. Cover them with Your presence and peace today. Guard their home and their time together, help this mom to rest in You and to love her daughter with calm and confidence. Give wisdom to everyone involved in her daughter's case, let truth be clear, and guide this mom in each decision and document and conversation. Give her strength for her studies and clarity for the days ahead. We trust them to Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer breathes the deep love of a mother for her child, and the longing for safety, truth and the abiding presence of the Lord Jesus. The Lord hears the cry of those who call upon Him in truth, and it is good that you have turned to Him who alone is our refuge.

There are sweet Fear nots scattered through Scripture as violets among the grass, and they are spoken by Christ Himself to trembling hearts. When the little girl was even dead, Jesus said, Fear not, only believe. Your safety lies not in being afraid of Him, but in trusting Him. He has taken away sin which is the sting of death, and He has promised, He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. This is a precious promise, but remember it is to keep you in all your ways, that is, in the appointed ways of the Lord. We are kept when we walk in the way of obedience, truth and humble dependence, not in willfulness or in leaning upon our own sight. Therefore ask the Lord to keep your feet in His way, to teach you to understand His way and then to run in it.

You ask that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that lies and manipulation may be revealed. Take comfort that the hail shall sweep away the refuges of lies. Every false confidence, every cunning speech that would harm the innocent, is but a frail shelter with a glass roof, and the great truths of God fall like hailstones to break it through. God will cast down the mighty from their seats and lift up the poor from the dunghill. Pray then not only for protection, but for truth to be established, for your own lips and documents to be kept from all untrue habits, and for your heart to be kept from fear of man which bringeth a snare. The fear of God bringeth blessing, the fear of man bringeth trouble. Labor to be rid of slavish fear, and cultivate that loving fear which watches every footstep lest it grieve so tender a Father.

It is right to pray for your daughter, that she may feel herself encompassed by the love of Christ and by your love as her mother, that she may be kept from evil and know no loss of joy. Bring her often to the fountain itself. Faith is but the cup, Christ is the fountain. We cannot satisfy thirst with an empty cup, nor can we be saved by our feelings or prayers or good intentions, but only by Jesus Christ and His atoning blood. There is no other name by which we are saved. Seek for her and for yourself that you may be found accepted in the Beloved, washed in His blood, and then you shall find that whether in life or in trial you are kept in Him.

You ask for guidance concerning those who have authority over your child's welfare, and concerning courts and papers. Pray that the Lord will give you wisdom to answer with plain truth, with meekness and honesty, and that whatsoever is false may not stand. Ask Him to give you clarity to see who is sent for your good and who is not, and for grace to forgive those who have trespassed against you, even as you seek forgiveness for your own trespasses. A forgiving spirit is the mark of one who has been forgiven much.

You have also prayed concerning a future husband, if it be the Lord's will. This is good when it is according to the Lord's own institution, that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that love and living together belong within that covenant. If the Lord wills to give you such a companion, pray that he may be a man of faith who will walk with you in holiness before God, and until that time pray for grace to walk in purity and patience, leaning not upon your own understanding but upon His.

Therefore let your prayer be shaped thus, that God would make you a vessel for His grace, that your words and life may commend the Saviour to others, that He would grant you daily strength for your labour and study, that He would keep you from slander and gossip, and that above all He would cause you to abide under the shadow of His wings, trusting not in your own strength but in His faithful promises. He is faithful to His promises and faithful to His Son.

May the Lord keep you and your daughter in His appointed ways, may He reveal truth and turn what was meant for evil into blessing as He wills, may He fill your home with His light and peace, and may He teach you to say with a quiet heart, Thy will be done, and to find rest in Christ alone.
