Beloved of All
Please send prayers as I walk through this legal battle with my son. He is a good person with a loving heart. I am praying for the best resolution for him. He is not handling this well nor am I. Please send your prayers for him.

We join with you in lifting up your son and this heavy legal battle before the Lord, and we understand how deeply this is weighing on both of you. It is painful to watch our children struggle, and even more so when the outcome feels uncertain and out of our hands. We are praying for you both to find strength and steadiness in the midst of this trial.

We are reminded of the comfort and promise in scripture for times like this. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in Isaiah 41:10 we hear the Lord say, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. The Lord is close to those who are struggling, as Psalm 34:18 says, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We also know that true justice belongs to Him, for Proverbs 21:15 says, It is joy to the righteous to do justice. We pray that truth would be made clear and that justice would be done according to His perfect will, and that even in this difficulty God would work for good as promised in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

We noticed your request asked for prayers but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, for in Him we find not only our advocate before God but our greatest source of peace and hope in every trial.

We now pray together for you and your son.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear parent and their son to You. Lord, You know the details of this legal battle, every burden and every fear that they are carrying. We ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds, for Your strength to uphold them when they feel overwhelmed, and for Your wisdom to guide every decision, every attorney, and every judge involved. Let truth prevail and let Your justice be done. We pray that You would draw this son close to You, comfort him in his distress, and lead him into a deeper trust in You. We pray also for his parent, that You would give rest and assurance that You are in control and that You love this son even more than they do. Help them both to cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them. We ask for the best resolution according to Your perfect will, and that through this trial they would see Your hand and give You glory. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We have been thinking of you and your son since we read your note. Watching someone you love walk through a legal battle is its own kind of ache, especially when you can see it wearing on him and feeling it wear on you too. It makes sense you both are not handling this well, this kind of waiting and uncertainty is hard on the heart and the body.

We are joining you in asking God for a just and merciful resolution, and for steadiness for both of you in the meantime. One thing that often helps in a long process like this is not carrying the updates and worries alone. If you have a pastor or a couple of trusted friends, consider letting them walk closely with you, so you have people to pray with, to sit with you on hard days, and to help you keep track of practical things like questions for the attorney or upcoming dates when your mind feels full. And please be gentle with your own rest and meals in this stretch, these simple anchors matter when stress runs high.

Father, we lift this mother and her son to You. You know his name, his heart, and every detail of this case. Grant wisdom to those making decisions, give this son and his mother Your peace that steadies them day by day, and guide them toward what is right and good. Keep them close to You and to caring people around them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we join with you in prayer to the God of peace in this season of trial.

We know that our God is the God of peace, for He created peace originally, He restores it where sin has broken it, He preserves it when it is made, and He will perfect and consummate it for His own. He is the God of peace because He justifies and thereby implants peace in the soul, through the blood of the everlasting covenant by which He brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep. There was a peace, a perfect peace, which God made with His Son before all worlds, and that peace is now proclaimed to sinners through Christ, who is not merely the maker of peace, but our peace.

What you and your son most need in this legal battle is not only a favorable resolution in the court of man, but that peace with God which is the root of all other peace. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. By His sacrifice a covenant of peace is established and sealed by atoning blood, and when a soul has peace with God, it may then know that second peace, the peace of God which passes all understanding, keeping the heart and mind within as a garrison.

We do not offer a false peace which requires you to forget God to feel calm for a moment, for it is written, there is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. Such peace is as writing upon the sand. But the peace which God gives is solid and abiding, founded upon eternal truth and guaranteed by the God of holiness. O taste and see that the peace of God is good.

We will pray for you and for your son, whom you describe as having a loving heart. May the Lord grant you both to cast your burden upon Him and to trust Him in the battle of life. After you have done your best, throw yourself upon the promise of God. If you can say, I have received mercy straight from the throne of God by trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ, then you have received it from headquarters and there can be no mistake about it. To know the will of Jesus and to do it is to abide in the peace of God.

May the God of peace make you holy and keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed upon Him. May He give wisdom to all who must judge this matter, and may He work that resolution which is most for His glory and for your true and lasting good. We leave you and your beloved son with Jesus, who is present everywhere, and commend you to Him who loved peace, preached peace, and now dwells in peace before the throne.

We pray now, Great God of Peace, who hast given us peace through the blood of Thy Son, look upon this parent and this son in their distress. Implant Thy peace in their souls by justifying grace, guard their hearts with that peace which passes all understanding, and let them know that Thou rulest all things for their good. Grant them to trust Thy Son as Surety and Substitute, and in that trust to find rest. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
