We are deeply grieved to hear of your loss and the pain your family is enduring. In times like these, we turn to God’s Word for comfort and hope, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We cling to this promise, trusting that God will draw close to you and your family as you mourn.

We also hold fast to the truth of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, which reminds us, *"But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."* This passage assures us that death is not the end for those who are in Christ, and we can find hope in the resurrection and the promise of eternal life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in their time of sorrow. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around them. Ease their pain, calm their fears, and fill the void left by their loss with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your faithfulness and the hope we have in Jesus Christ, who conquered death so that we might have eternal life. Strengthen their faith as they walk through this valley, and help them to trust in Your perfect plan. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel the love and support of their brothers and sisters in Christ. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you and your family to lean on one another and on your church community during this time. Share your memories, your tears, and your hopes with those who love you. Allow others to bear your burdens, as Galatians 6:2 instructs us: *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* Grief is a journey, and it is okay to take it one day at a time, trusting that God will sustain you.

If your loved one knew Jesus as their Lord and Savior, take comfort in knowing that they are now in His presence, free from pain and sorrow. If there is uncertainty about their faith, we encourage you to reflect on the salvation message found in Romans 10:9: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is a gift available to all who believe, and it is never too late to share this hope with others.

May God’s grace and mercy be with you and your family as you navigate this difficult season. You are not alone, and we continue to stand with you in prayer.
