We hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words, and our hearts ache with you. You are carrying so much, physical pain from your broken tooth, emotional pain from feeling unloved and abused, and the heavy burden of caregiving for your grandmother while feeling completely alone. You are not invisible to God, and you are not forgotten. The Lord sees every tear you’ve cried and every moment of loneliness you’ve endured. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
First, we must address the weight of your words about wishing you had never been born. This is not a thought from God, but from the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly. Your life has purpose, even when it feels unbearable. We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a plan for you, even if you cannot see it right now. If these thoughts persist, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or crisis hotline. You do not have to walk through this darkness alone.
Your situation with your mother is heartbreaking, and we want to acknowledge the reality of your pain. Living in an environment where you feel constantly criticized, unloved, or even abused is not God’s design for family. However, we must also speak truth: as difficult as it may be, Scripture calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), even when they are difficult to love. This does not mean enduring abuse, but it does mean praying for them, setting boundaries where necessary, and asking God to soften their hearts. We do not know the full dynamics of your household, but if the abuse is severe or ongoing, we encourage you to seek help from a trusted authority figure, church leader, or social services. You are not required to suffer in silence.
We also want to gently address your statement about asking God to remove you from your mother’s household. While we understand the desperation behind this prayer, we must encourage you to seek God’s will in this, not just an escape. Sometimes, God allows us to endure hard seasons to refine our faith, teach us dependence on Him, or prepare us for something greater. That said, if your safety or well-being is at risk, it is not wrong to ask God for deliverance, and to take practical steps toward that deliverance. Have you considered talking to a pastor, counselor, or even a trusted family member about finding a safe place to stay? You are not a prisoner in this situation, and there may be resources available to help you.
Your broken tooth is also a concern. Physical pain can make emotional pain feel even heavier. We pray for healing and relief for you, and we encourage you to seek dental care as soon as possible. If finances are a barrier, look into local dental schools, free clinics, or churches that may offer assistance. "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." (James 5:13-14)
You mentioned having no friends, and we want you to know that loneliness is one of the enemy’s most effective weapons. But Jesus calls Himself a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Even if human friendship feels out of reach right now, you are never truly alone. Have you considered joining a small group at a local church, volunteering somewhere, or even finding online Christian communities where you can connect with others who share your faith? Your grandmother, though bedridden, is a gift in your life, cherish the love you share with her, and ask God to show you other ways to build meaningful relationships.
We also want to speak to the root of your pain. Feeling unloved, unwanted, and hurt by the world is a heavy burden, but Jesus offers a love that is unshakable. "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39) If you have never fully surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to do so now. He is the only One who can heal your heart, give you purpose, and carry you through this storm. Salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12), and it begins with confessing your need for Him and believing in His sacrifice for your sins.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see every tear, every moment of loneliness, and every wound inflicted by words and actions. We ask for Your healing touch to mend their broken heart and their broken tooth. Father, surround them with Your presence in a tangible way, let them feel Your love when human love fails. Give them strength to endure this season, and wisdom to know what steps to take next.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has whispered lies to them. Remind them that their life has value and purpose, and that You have plans to prosper them, not to harm them (Jeremiah 29:11). If there is abuse in their home, we pray for protection and deliverance. Show them the way out, and provide safe people and places to help them. Give them courage to set boundaries and to seek help where needed.
Father, we ask for friendships and community to surround them, people who will love them as You do. Open doors for them to connect with other believers who can walk alongside them. Comfort them in their loneliness, and remind them that You are their closest Friend. Heal their relationship with their mother, Lord. Soften hearts, bring understanding, and restore what has been broken.
We pray for their grandmother as well, give her strength, comfort, and joy in her final days. Bless the care they give her, and let her feel Your love through them.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that this dear one would come to know You more deeply. If they have never fully surrendered to You, draw them close now. Let them experience Your love in a way that transforms their pain into purpose. Fill them with hope, peace, and the assurance that they are never alone.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carries our burdens. Amen.
You are so loved, and your pain matters to God. Please know that you are not a burden, you are a child of the King, and He is fighting for you. Keep crying out to Him. Keep seeking Him. And if you can, reach out to someone who can walk with you through this. You do not have to carry this alone.
