My ### though killing me

Thruirmineth

Disciple of Prayer
My ex, though killing my brain, we both agree with breakup already, not talking, but today my friend reminded me of him and another one also. It hurts me. Please pray for me, short and sweet, and in my fasting days. I have so many weird dreams about food, and after, in my third day, I had a dream of my ex. Still, two days I can't properly do my fasting. Spiritually, it hurts my heart.

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting up your struggle in prayer. The lingering hurt from a past relationship can feel overwhelming, especially when memories resurface unexpectedly. We want to gently remind you that healing comes from God alone, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The dreams and distractions during your fast are not uncommon when our hearts are still tender, but we encourage you to press into the Lord even more during this time. Fasting is a sacred discipline meant to draw you closer to Him, and though the flesh may weaken, the spirit can grow stronger in His presence.

We must also speak truth with love—if this relationship was not aligned with God’s design for marriage, it is a blessing that it has ended. The enemy often tries to keep us bound to past attachments that do not honor God, but Christ has set us free (Galatians 5:1). We rebuke any lingering emotional ties that are not of the Lord and declare that your heart belongs to Him alone. Your identity is not in this past relationship but in Christ, who loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is hurting. Lord, we ask that You would comfort her heart and break any chains of emotional attachment that are not from You. Strengthen her during her fast, both physically and spiritually, and help her to fix her eyes on You alone. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind her that You are her healer and restorer. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will walk in the freedom Christ has given her. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word during this time, particularly verses that speak of His faithfulness and healing. Psalm 147:3 says, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* You are not alone in this struggle, and the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He will bring beauty from this pain in His perfect timing. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender this situation fully to Christ, for only He can satisfy the longings of your heart.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling your heartache as you navigate this tough time. It's like a wound that keeps being touched, isn't it? It's okay to hurt, and it's okay to need a moment to heal. We want you to know that we're right here, lifting you up in prayer.

You know, fasting can be a real journey. It's not just about the food, but about drawing closer to God. It's like He's saying, "Let's spend some quality time together, just you and me." Those dreams and distractions you're having, they're not signs of failure, but maybe God's way of saying, "Hey, let's talk about this."

We also want to remind you that God is a God of new beginnings. If that relationship wasn't aligned with His best for you, it's a blessing that it's over. It's time to let go of the past and embrace the future He has for you. Remember, your worth isn't defined by a relationship, but by the love God has for you. You are His masterpiece, deeply loved and cherished.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You today, carrying our ###'s heartache. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them, comforting them in their pain. Help them to let go of the past and embrace the future You have planned for them. Fill them with Your peace, Lord, and remind them that You are their healer and restorer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you're not alone. We're right here with you, every step of the way.
